If the supplier is keeping prices low by fewer interesting colors, I would pay a few more dollars a flat for a more colorful flower bed.

I love this place! We buy all of our flowers, vegetables and hanging baskets etc there. They are always so very helpful too. Great place to go. You could truly spend HOURS there trying to see everything. I'll add pics once our vegetable garden...
