We were just in the store and walked in and started looking at boots. I have bone cancer so i am using a cane. I am a pretty happy and understanding woman. I try to give grace because maybe an employee is having a bad day. First i will say it is way too hot in the store for trying in clothes or boots. You get hot or atleast i do. I do believe this is the case with most older women. We are a military family as well. So i saw no employee’s for the first 15 minutes except over by the cash register. No one greeted us. No one asked if we needed help. Which clearly we did. When i finally asked one of the girls for help she did not seem thrilled. Ok maybe she is burning up and i can admit its not fun working in heat. The back sales room is impossible to shop in for more than a few minutes even with the fans going. So we were about to check out. No one had helped me except for the one question i had. Then a young man named Connor came in. The first thing he did was ask me if i needed any help. I asked for his name and told him i appreciated him asking and that none of the girls had asked me if they could help. We were ready to leave or i would have gladly let Connor help me. Let me just say you will sell alot more boots and clothing if you cater to your customers.I hope whoever owns the store see’s the review and try’s to enlighten the employees. I would have probably bought more if i had been helped. Last thing. You need more mirrors to see the shoes you are trying on. you don’t wanna have to walk across the store to find a mirror to see the shoes you are trying on. You are more likely to purchase the shoes if you can see them on your feet. I don’t normally leave bad reviews and i am trying to be fair. But customer service is everything! My girlfriend had told me she had a bad experience at that store as well. But i love the Dayton French’s so i told her i was going anyway. Well i got my answer. I will drive the 2 hours to...
Read moreBest boot store in Tennessee. I always buy my boots (Dan Post/ Corral), my hats (Stetson), and my belts from here (even my Hey Dudes). The next time I am stateside I am going to purchase another Stetson and have them steam shape it for me. They have expert staff on hand to answer any of your questions regarding western/ country wear.
The customer service is great and you can always grab a few bargains from their backroom if you are looking for cheaper discount boots. Also, every French's has a somewhat different selection of backroom/ discount boots--- so if you see a pair you like at another branch best to pick them up.
The Murfreesboro store is the best as I have been to several French's in Tennessee---so I recommend this branch specifically for the large selection, the custom hat shaping/ fitting, the larger selection of discounted boots, and the employees' vast knowledge.
As a side-note, being LGBT+ a western/ country store can be intimating for someone like me- but I never found that the case at the Murfreesboro branch. They have always been polite and very respectful towards me- so thank you for being so kind...
Read moreEmployees in the back are very helpful and respectful but then a manager came back there and was trying to tell them that they needed to do a better job make sure they stay on top of covers and giving criticism and correcting their actions verbally disciplined in in front of customers that should never happen if you were going to correct an employee you should take your employees to the back doing that in front of customers is making employees feel belittle I had a $60 shirt in my hand and was going to purchase it to her out for my birthday but instead I put the shirt down and told the manager how I felt instead he argued with me and tried to justifies his actions you cannot justify your actions to a customer while you are trying to discipline someone else for the same thing I was really hoping to buy the shirt that I had in my hand that was the exact shirt that I was looking for to wear out for my birthday instead I had to put it back and now I'm having to go somewhere else because the manager does not know how to discipline...
