I would not recommend renting from this company. The cabins/rentals are beautiful, but an Airbnb can offer you the same stay with more accomodating amenities. Towels, linens, cleaning supplies and basic household needs are limited and provided very sparingly. Be prepared to bring extra trash bags, extra blankets and basic condiments like salt and pepper, etc. My issue is not with the cabin itself, or what was/was not provided, but with the management staff that was rude, dismissive and inconsiderate. When they were unable to process a payment (post-visit) on one of our cards that didn't have funds available, they called and left threatening voicemails. We had no problem paying the fee, but the approach was unnecessary. Some of us do have jobs where you can't answer your personal phone, and when you can, it's after business hours. Had the voicemail stated an alternate option to make the payment after-hours, we would have had this situation handled much quicker. My poor mother was so shaken by the voicemail, she asked me to call and pay it on her behalf while she was still working.
If you're someone who requires an emotional support animal this rental management company does not recognize this even with proper documentation and certification. Service animals and emotional support animals are widely protected under Georgia Law and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. The woman I spoke with continued to speak over me to try and discredit my personal situation even AFTER the fee had been paid and successfully withdrawn from our bank account. We had no issue with any other company verifying the eligibility of our ESA during our visit in Blue Ridge.
I would like to note, I have been in Real Estate and Property Management for 6+ years now. I have been on the other side of this; I know it's hard to enforce rules and keep them the same across the board, especially when you're the middleman managing things between two parties. However, have some compassion and understanding and maybe an alternate option for a solution for your request before you leave...
Read moreWe were very disappointed with our stay at this cabin. The afternoon before our 5-hour trip with eight adults, the management company informed us that the upstairs AC wasnât working, but assured us it wasnât that hot and shouldnât be a problem. They also said no comparable cabins were available, so we went ahead with the trip.
Upon arrival, we found that none of the three levels had working AC, and the entire home was over 80 degrees. We contacted management right away. They brought a small portable unit that barely cooled one room in this large, open home with vaulted ceilings. We were told someone would come to fix it, but no one ever showed up.
We were assured weâd be compensated, so we bought our own portable AC unit and several fans to make the cabin bearable. Days later they offered to move us, but the alternate cabin wasnât on the river (the main reason for our trip), and we had already spent money trying to fix the issue ourselves.
In the end, we were offered only $170, despite paying nearly $650 per night. I respectfully asked for one nightâs refund to cover some of the extra cost, but the owners declined.
Other issues included a broken microwave, a non-working couch, and dirty water constantly flooding the hot tub area. We reported these but focused on the AC, which was never resolved. We expected much more for the price and were extremely...
Read moreEvery year we head to Blue Ridge GA in October to âleaf peepâ and enjoy the cooler weather. We consistently use Willow Creek Cabin Rentals and always have impeccable experience each year. Everything from the cleanliness of the cabins, to the superior customer service. This year played out a bit differently for us because of Storm Zeta. We were enroute to Blue Ridge from Clearwater FL (9 hour drive) when we received contact from Willow Creek that the storm had downed power lines and toppled trees. The cabin we rented was without power for indefinite time. Luckily, we were only 74 miles from home and able to turn around. First off, THANK YOU Stacy at Willow Creek for proactively reaching out to us so early that morning! Itâs never easy to deliver this kind of sad news to vacationers, but Willow Creek was right on the ball! Secondly, all fees and charges were promptly refunded as we requested since itâll be a year before we can go again. Great work Stacy at Willow Creek during an obviously stressful and even dangerous time for our friends in Blue Ridge GA. Stay well, stay safe, and...
