I really want to be able to give this place 5 stars. I really do. I'm a huge, huge fan of Carhartt and have spent several hundred dollars at this store. However, half of what I've purchased here has had to be special ordered. Note that I'm an average-sized guy and I don't have unusual requests. Frankly, I'm not sure why it's so hard to keep a few things in stock.
They seem to have a good variety of clothing items, but apparently lack a good selection of sizes and colors.
If you aren't already familiar with Carhartt, they are typically expensive, but they are very high quality products and the go-to brand for anyone that does any sort of work outdoors. Their winter-oriented gear (coats, over pants, coveralls, bibs, etc) is especially fantastic.
All that said, I love their products and swear by them. My biggest problem with this location, though, is the customer service. I've been in this store a dozen times and not once has anyone ever approached me, asking if I need help. Note that it's usually a pretty quiet store and more often than not I'm the only customer (or maybe one of the two customers there). The only times I've ever been able to get help is if I go up to the handful of employees chatting at the counter, and tried to pry them apart. Even then, sometimes they give you a look of "excuse us, we're talking here", and carry on with their personal conversations, leaving you to stand there and wait. I'm not high maintenance and I don't need to be waited on all the time, but the service here is consistent, and it's consistently poor.
Between the fact their customer service lacks so much here, and the fact that they never seem to have typical sizes on hand, you're better off to just order your Carhartt products online or go to a reseller...
Read moreAlright so I have an update. When I had that bad experience at carhartt I was sad because I love their products but I was not ok with what happened so I didn't think I was ever going back. But then later someone reached out to me about my experience and they had me come back to the store. Then when we (my wife and I) went back to the store a few days later Waverley was there to help us as she was the one who reached out after she had heard about our experience. She Was Awesome!! She asked us what we were looking for and showed us many options and explained the differences on the different products we were interested in. She helped us pick the perfect sizes and then had great recommendations. Then to top it off she showed us a jacket that she was recommending to go with the other things we were getting and the second I put it on I Was Sold. Haha I actually love that jacket so much I want to go buy another one. But we owe a huge thank you to Waverley for not only saving carhartt for us but making us want to go back again and again. Best Customer Experience Ever. She is making a good name representing carhartt. Based off our experience with Waverley we will definitely be back and recommend that carhartt location to everyone. Origonal review: Sad to see carhartt letting us down. I drove 40 min to get to the store before they closed. Online said they close at 8:00. I got there at 6:40. Read morePrologue. When thoughts come, they're never accompanying the notion to write reviews. It's just not my thing. But today, I've had to make an exception.
Online shopping for work attire just doesn't seem to cut it. I need to see the items in person. Usually I hate having to wade through crowds so I prefer purchasing most of my items online. But what I distaste is shadowed by the repulsion I feel for writing reviews. All this to say, I was pleasantly surprised and moved to take the time to write to you. Not about the products (because we already know all about the great quality), but staring their employees today. I went on a Sunday afternoon and the store was packed! Gearing up for the colder season I suppose. Immediately my boyfriend and I were greeted and attended to. They were helpful right from the start and were legitimately eager to help. I have never experienced the way these employees made me feel as a customer then what I had today. They patiently waited while my companion ran through his process of drawn out and calculating selection. Yet the employees made us feel no rush at all. We would part ways and they would come up to check on us to see if they could further assist us. So thank you to everyone who worked today for making my day so wonderful.
Epilogue. With faith in humanity restored, my day is still great. Kindness goes a long ways. Also, obvious shout out to Carhartt products! Amazing and durable goodness. Thanks for hiring...
