Honestly the worst Victoria secret store I've been to. I was lied to by the manager. This has happened twice here. Today I tried to return unworn, tagged merchandise and yes, I had the original receipt. The manager told me receipts do not ring up in their system after 90 days, so she would have to give me the lowest selling price for that item even though I had the receipt. The return policy on the back of the receipt clearly states that you will receive the ORIGINAL price paid for the merchandise in store credit, if you have your receipt and it's after 90 days. If you don't have your receipt, you get the lowest selling price. I tried to tell the sales associate that but she got her manager to explain better. The manager did not explain it well at all. She read the receipt but still did not understand that it states the original price. She told me they have to give the lowest price after 90 days, and the computer system won't even let her override the price. She said there was nothing that they can do and I could accept the lowest price (more than half off of what I paid originally.) She was also rude about it I may add. So I left the store after waiting about a half hour in line. I then called corporate to ask them to clarify the return policy for me since I was denied the original price I paid even though I had a receipt. Corporate told me that I read the receipt correctly, and the store handled my return wrong. Corporate said that they can help me, but they would need to talk to the store while I am there, during the return process. I told corporate I left the store already, and they told me to cal them back while I am at the store if this issue happens again. I then went to a different Victoria's Secret about 5 miles away, in Salt Lake City. I talked to the manager right when I got there to explain my issue. She didn't even hesitate to help me and get me the store credit for the original price paid on both items. I didn't even have to call corporate, their manager (at the Gateway VS) was super helpful and accommodating, unlike the manager at the VS in Fashion Place. The cashier was easily able to override the price in the system and give me what I paid - so that just shows the manager at the Fashion Place location lied to me. Read moreI wanted to share an experience that I had at this store back in September because I am still very frustrated about it. Prior to this experience this was my go to VS store. I was shopping for my “something blue” panties for my wedding day. The signage around the store, and there were probably close to a dozen, said that the panties I was purchasing were on a 3/$39 deal. I was expecting to spend $39 (and tax). I went to check out and the girl ringing me up asked if I was going to pick out four more pairs. I asked why, because the signage said 3/$39 and I was confused. I was unaware of the promo of buy 3 get 4 free that was going on. There was NO SIGNAGE OF THIS ANYWHERE IN THE STORE. I asked if she could honor the posted promo and she simply said “No, I can’t”. Only after she rudely told me no did she explain the promo that was going on. After accepting that I was not going to get the deal that was advertised, they didn’t offer help me at all. I asked a different associate if a particular pair of panties were on the deal and she told me that they were. After finally finding an additional four pairs of panties (and now spending an additional $20) I went back to check out again. As she was ringing me out, the pair I had asked about came up not part of the promo. They wouldn’t honor this either though I specifically asked about this pair. I finally was able to complete my transaction after about an hour in the store due to lack of the size I needed. As I was walking away two things happened; first, the associate and her coworker helping her that I assume was a manager/supervisor began to talk negatively about me. I was not very far away when they started talking. It was rude and uncalled for. Second, another associate started switching the signs to the new promo.
I have never experienced such poor and rude customer service. I work in retail myself and while the customer isn’t always right, you should always do what’s right for the customer. I sincerely wish I could give more than this review, but in hopes that she reads how she made me feel, as well in hopes to inspire others to get her help while they shop at this location, to experience a little bit of heaven from this sweet girl. A little background, I have Lupus a type of cancer that has brought a lot of sorrow and darkness to my life, I actually hate shopping at any store because I feel weak and not beautiful. But I was blown away by this beautiful young lady who, with kindness, and tenderness she helped me last week for 3 hours. She was patient and so understanding, she wouldn't let me carry anything to help me as I struggled with my breathing. She would advise me and go beyond to find my sizes. I was amazed as she would help me but have time to help others around the store. Best Multi-Tasker I've seen. She made me feel comfortable, confident, beautiful and strong. At the end of my shopping experience, as she walked me to the registers with all my bags, she expressed to me how she saw how strong I was and how much of a fighter I was. She distinctly saw beyond the surface which made cry a little because I haven't felt like people understood. As I wept a little and I asked her if I could hug her and I swear that I have never felt a hug like hers full of, I couldn't even explain it. My husband cried as we walked out because of how happy I felt with my purchase and how confident I felt. This girl is amazing he thanked her and we were on our way.
