Just went by chicken express after working a 12 hour shift and driving across town. Submit my order, apologized for being there late because know they were close to closing (at this point it was 9:30, I’m a server so I get it sucks when people come by late), pull up to the window, hand the girl my money, sit for a minute or so while they’re making it, then she opens the window and tells me they aren’t taking cash because? Okay, why not lead with that when I’m placing an order and also why would you shut down your register thirty minutes to close?
They told me I could pay with card, which I didn’t happen to have on me, and instead of offering any kind of compensation or just giving me the food (I don’t expect it free, but if you won’t take my money because you want to get out of there early then that’s not on me- a paying customer), they just said “ so sorry.” Cool. Really feels like you’re sorry when you don’t offer any kind of amelioration. Apparently you can’t pay with cash there in the last hour on the off chance that some workers want to get out early shut down their register. At that point just do what other drivers thrus do and don’t answer and pretend to be closed, would’ve been way less frustrating lol. I’m not the type to write these reviews—I’ve been in the service industry for 13 years, but this was one of the most ridiculous interactions I’ve ever had. Read moreSO to preface my fuse is already a little short with this location...or a lot because of literally every order being wrong every time I have gone there....but tonight was the final straw and I will not be giving them my business any longer! While I was waiting for my order one of the glass heating bulbs shattered in it's socket. This would have been all fine and good if they had removed and discarded all the food sitting on the heating tray but they didn't and were even hesitant to remove the catfish immediately beneath the bulb. Bare in mind the glass did not just go straight down but ejected out in all directions. The gal pulling my order proceeded to go ahead and continue pulling chicken from the contaminated holder and placing in the box for my order when I said "Nope no, why don't you go ahead and cancel my order and give me a refund ( I payed cash) To which the register operator flat out said no and instead said it was their policy to not give refunds but give a gift card. Mind you there is no signage anywhere indicating this policy in the store. Needless to say I was livid and while I did raise my voice I was beyond frustrated. Read moreWanna spend almost an hour in a drive thru on a Sunday night? Then head to Chicken Express in Muskogee! We sent a pic to our son of the Chicken Express sign at 7:37pm so he’d know what we were getting for dinner. There were two cars ahead of us in the drive thru. The time stamp on the receipt by the time we got to the window to pay for our order was 7:57pm. We sat at the window with cars piling up behind us for 17 more minutes. We watched at least 3 different orders taken to the inside counter while we continued to wait, while multiple employees stood around doing nothing but talking. We finally waved the drive thru attendant down and asked what the deal was, and he said “we’re out of Mac and cheese”, as if that explains why no one came to the window to ask for a replacement side so we could get our food and leave. There is a total lack of any kind of leadership, nothing but a bunch of young kids working who obviously don’t care a thing about customer service or take pride in their work.
