Palmetto Goodwill — Local services in Myrtle Beach

Since settling into the area the Murrells Inlet locale has been my goto spot as I pass by it daily on my post office run (eBay,etc). This location I want to visit more often then I do. It's almost always results in some good loot for resale or personal +1up loot. This is a breakdown of my visit and edit of this review on May 2023.

I try and limit my time in the store and limit my pickings to the top tier resale items. I call it a speed run. This store however was so foreign to me and so packed with items my speed run lasted about 40 mins. I been doing 8-10 min runs through the other location. I did find prices that I was satisfied with on 6 times. I felt like some items were overpriced - stereo equipment, speakers, and some beat up torn up bicycles.

Overall they price stuff 7/10. Murrels Inlet I say is better 8/10. It's probably not easy pricing to move yet maximize income. I love the big location here. I am disappointed they no longer have the PCs, computer stuff, printers here like they used to. Where does it go now? Online? Great #bargainhunter stop! I just moved from Florida. I am from Ohio, and my son lives in California. I go to Goodwill's every chance I can get. I just moved here, and this is the first state that I've been to that does not have the color code weekly discounts. They don't even have the preferred Shoppers where you give your phone number and you get points which gives you moneys and I have like $75 on mine and I can't use it here because they don't have anything like that. Also, the stores are not very desirable they do not have a good selection. They don't have a scanners they punch every single price in if there is no price only the people in the back not at the checkout can authorize the price so you hold up the line if you don't do that prior to checking out. I feel that all of the South Carolina Goodwills that I've been to so far, which is 3, are all around unorganized, not maintained, and have not a good selection and no discounts VERY OVER PRICED. I'm very disappointed but I go to my son's in California and the OG Goodwill, I will hit for sure. I did not take pictures and did not have my phone. If I pass it again, I will update...

I'm from Virginia and Goodwill is completely different there. This Goodwill's prices are much higher than VA and this Goodwill cannot sell electronics like computers and videogames. I went in and found some Wii accessories (two Wiimote cases and one nunchuk).The accessories had no price on them so the cashier had to call for a price check. She comes back with a man who tells me that he cannot sell the Wii accessories. I ask why and he says that the store cannot sell computer or video game related items as they all are sent to their Charleston location. They refused to sell the items to me and make a profit on something they received for free. VERY disappointed in the store and the service I received. Will not...
