I am very unimpressed and disappointed with the service we received today. We came through the drive thru at 5:00pm and drove around the whole building because the parking lot was almost completely empty so we weren’t sure if the shop was open. We finally go through and order 8 drinks, after we ordered the first 4, and guy on the speaker said “did you say FOUR drinks?” we replied, “yes.” He then sighed in the speaker and said “anything else?” with attitude. we ordered the other drinks and “sorry we have so many drinks.” Trying to make light of the situation since they were clearly upset. They replied “anything else?” and then gave us the total after saying no. Then, before we pull to the next window he says “oh and it will be about a 10 minute wait since we are so busy inside.” we said “not a problem, thank you” once we got to the window after waiting for a few minutes another guy says “next time you come here, you’ll need to come inside if you’re going to order this many drinks so it’s easier on us.” We apologized and said we didn’t realize it would be a problem. (As a Coffee Shop manager back in Ohio, i know this doesn’t effect them differently if you come inside or order through the drive thru.) They walk away and bring our drinks back almost immediately. (It had not been 10 minutes) We asked if we could have drink carriers since we had 8 drinks and they gave us 1 carrier and said “this is all we have for carriers” as we could see a stack of drink carriers sitting behind them on the counter., I am disappointed the way this was handled, especially because we drink black riffle everyday at home and love supporting them and when we left we drove around the building to see how busy they were since they made us feel so badly but there was still the same amount of people in the shop as when we drove around before and couldn’t tell if it was open or not. This is the first time we’ve had a poor experience with this company and as a coffee shop manager I feel as if they were upset more because they closed at 6pm, and can relate to wanting to get everything closed so I can go home but would still never treat customers like this if this had happened to me, and it...
Read moreI typically order my coffee beans from BRCC, and I'm always happy when I receive them in the mail. The flavors, the packaging—everything just makes me happy. I don't have a BRCC shop where I live, so when I found out there was one here, I got all giddy, like a girl wanting Starbucks.
I typically like my coffee straight black, but this time, I went full-on girl in a Starbucks during pumpkin spice season mode.
So... I ordered three coffees: Jet Fuel, Yule Log, and a normal black coffee. Upon receiving the cups, the aesthetics were just as I pictured them. However, I think it would've been cooler if they featured the BRCC "characters" on them.
The Jet Fuel and Yule Log were good, but the main issue I had was with the black coffee.
I was expecting the black coffee to be the best of the best, but I was sadly let down. When I got the cup, it was scalding hot—I could barely hold it in my hand. Even with the cup sleeve, I had to keep swapping it between hands just to carry it out. Furthermore, it was so hot that drinking it was impossible. I typically get "MO," but they only had "Just Black." I smelled the coffee, but something was off—maybe it was the beans? I didn't think much of it at the time.
I went next door to Panda Express to order takeout, giving the coffee some time to cool down. Even after all that, it was still lava. Eventually, I gave it a proper swig.
Maybe it's how I prepare my coffee at home... but this was one of the worst black coffees I've ever had. IHOP—no, wait—I could’ve had a proper black coffee at McDonald’s.
This coffee was watered down, burnt to a crisp, and tasted like old, stale brew. Just smelling it made my nose turn up. I should’ve asked for a fresh brew when I first felt how hot the cup was.
I've been in the military long enough to know what burnt coffee...

Former U.S. Army Green Beret Evan Hafer and team began importing high-quality coffee beans, roasting and shipping directly to consumers. In 2019, BRCC opened its first stand-alone licensed coffee shop in Boerne, Texas. Now, Utah, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, Montana, Tennessee and their recent grand opening in Myrtle Beach, SC. Interior and exterior has that sleek, industrial vibe with dark gray brick and black metal trim outside and high, open ceiling, cement floor, comfy couches and sofa chairs and wood tables and chairs inside. A menu of coffee classics to cold brews, Hero to Handdrafted, brewed coffee to Blended specialty drinks, breakfast items to baked goods. My bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was a toasted croissant with thin strips of bacon, egg patty and melted cheese. Overall good taste and texture. My coffee connoisseur of a wife had a simple black coffee and she raves about the quality of the roasted, brewed beans. She equates the cost to most commercial coffee shops. One can also purchase apparel, coffee cups, tumblers, hats, their own energy drinks and...
