We didn't feel like cooking tonight and hadn't been to Bonefish in a while. The one we used to go to had closed. But there is still 2 others within 45 minutes from us. This one in Surfside, we hadn't visited before. This one was set up differently but still had the comfortable upscale environment we enjoy. Our server, Sarah was alot of fun and Kim hit it off with her right away. We started with our usual Blackberry sangria to prime the pump. Kim ordered the Signature pasta with shrimp and I had the Cod Imperial (see pics for description). She said her pasta was good, but had a little more "Heat" than she usually takes. But she is a hot spice lightweight! My stuffed cod was very good. I was accidentally served an extra serving of garlic mashed potatoes along with my rice instead of broccoli. Not a big deal , the broccoli came out a minute later so I loaded up with extra carbohydrates! My only negative was that the Jasmine rice was a bit undercooked. Some grains were actually a bit crunchy (everyonehas bad days). Luckily I received the extra garlic mashed potatoes. Other than that, we like Bonefish and will come back to this location again.

Upscale seafood chain offering a line of wood grilled fish, seafood specialties, soup and salads, appetizers and steaks, chicken and a half pound burger. A list of wines, beers and other cocktails are also available. Larger, open floor plan with comfortable booths and a more subtle feel creates a relaxing atmosphere. The blackened Baja fish tacos came with 3 warmed tortillas nicely filled with Alaskan Cod, mango salsa, shredded cabbage and lime crema. The combination was full of flavor with a little extra kick and the three very filling. A side of fries adds to the meal. My wife’s scallops and shrimp, a smaller portion, came nicely grilled in a buttery, seasoned sauce with your choice from 5 different side sauces. Two signature sides and my wife’s choices were the garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Ginger was friendly and got the job done. Even for a Sunday afternoon lunch prices are pricier and servings smaller.

Pretty nice place, kind a low key casual, but nice, if that makes sense. Great spot to walk around before or after dinner. The food was pretty good but the portions were small in SOME cases and to NOT include bread or salads with meal is just "way too cheap" for the price & of course much higher jacked up pricing if you want to add it. Not providing those things annoyed at least 8 of us or more. One cousin ordered something with "scallops" and he received just three tiny, the size of a quarter scallops, which should be rather embarrassing and shameful (three bites total & gone). I went one of the cheaper routes, fish fry ($36-ish) & must say it was fantastic fish (Maybe Tilapia?)! But the service was good & they were nice there. Not a lot of food options in our opinion & they frowned on any substitutions. Have fun!

DON’T ORDER FILET MIGNON. My wife and I went to this restaurant while we were vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We wanted filet mignon, although this restaurant specializes in seafood. We asked the waitress if it was possible to get center cut filet mignon, which is the best part of the beef tenderloin. This apparently young and inexperienced waitress told us that she would need to check with the cook to see if that was possible.

The waitress returned in a few minutes and told us that she believed that it was possible to get a center cut of filet mignon. Based on her response to our question, we went ahead and both ordered filet mignon.

Approximately 20 minutes later, we were served our steaks. My steak was thin and tough, while my wife’s steak was full of fat and silver skin. As I began eating my steak, I started to believe that perhaps there was a mixup with my order, as it had been handled by the waitress and/or the cook.

We both finished our steaks, although neither one of us was pleased with the quality of the meat we were served.

I asked to speak to the manager and was assertively addressed by an unapologetic young woman who basically took issue with every comment I made.

She stated that Bonefish Grill does NOT fabricate their own beef products and that they buy them precut from a food service supplier. Consequently, it is not possible to be served a center cut of filet mignon.

When I asked the manager how it happened that my wife and I were both told that we would be getting a center cut of filet mignon, the manager basically avoided addressing the question. I told her I would like to know how the problem transpired, and after much foot dragging, she agreed to investigate.

The manager returned a few minutes later and indicated that the waitress misunderstood what the cook had told her regarding the availability of a center cut of filet mignon.

Throughout this verbal exchange, the manager basically took the posture that she and her staff had done nothing wrong. Neither my wife nor I recall hearing her say that she was sorry about what had transpired.

To the manager’s benefit, I will state for the record that she did not charge us anything for our meals (which I had earlier told her was not the response that I was seeking). Conversely, I felt nothing polite, courteous, nor respectful about her response to our disappointing dinner at...

Bonefish Grill has always been one of our places of choice at least twice while we are at our semi permanent home here in surfside. We have noticed in the last year quality of food is not at all what it used to be but we keep trying bc BFG has always been one of our favorites. Mother’s Day, May 10th we decided to make it our choice. First, we ordered our favorite appetizer of bang bang shrimp which did not measure up. We had to ask for our bread and dipping oil. Was told they had fresh in the oven. It was brought out and was not even warm. Placed our order for our entrees in which we waited forever on. It wasn’t like the dining room was packed bc it wasn’t. My husband got: Cod stuffed with shrimp and scallops Green beans Jasmine rice Sweet tea to drink

I got: Salad with wood fired salmon. The salmon was good but the salad looked and tasted like a bag salad with dressing that is purchased from the grocery store. Honestly, it was disgusting. Asked for more bourbon sauce for the salmon and was told after bringing me out an extra lil cup that’s all they had left!! The whole dining room experience was not even close to what it should and could be. I did tell the waiter I would pay for my salmon but would not pay for the disgusting salad. He removed $10.50 from our bill. My husband ate his entree not bc it was good but bc he was starved and as I said earlier we waited forever on our meal. Sweet tea wasn’t even good. It was only average. They usually have excellent sweet tea. I don’t expect anything to be done but definitely feel like you need to be made aware of...
