Clark's Ace Hardware — Local services in Napa

For many years, my family has been a loyal customer of Ace Hardware on Lincoln. However, my recent experience at the store deeply disappointed me.

We received a mailed notification informing us of a 20% off sale for members only on any full-priced item. I was particularly interested in purchasing a gas grill, as a promotional pamphlet included a picture of a Weber grill.

Upon arriving at the store, I completed the checkout process without any issues. However, upon further inspection, I discovered that the 20% discount had not been applied to my purchase. The staff informed me that the discount was not applicable to Weber products.

This practice, commonly known as bait and switch, is illegal and constitutes a clear violation of consumer protection laws.

This ACE Does NOT Honor Returns!

12-2-23 Update:

After avoiding this store for nearly two years. I needed metric bolts to hang a friend’s TV. Not knowing exactly the right size, I purchased two sets of bolts and washers, so I wouldn’t have to make a repeat trip - thinking I could easy return what I did not need later in the day.

It took them nearly 30 MINUTES to figure how to return and credit $9 DOLLARS worths of bolts and washers!!! Incompetence does not begin to describe it!!!

Looks like I will avoid this store as much as possible in the future!!! And if there’s a possibility you might need to return something, I suggest you...

I purchased a weber grill ($450) from this hardware with the promotion that they would assemble it a deliver it at NO CHARGE. That is the reason I purchased from them. It took them 12 days to deliver the grill at an inconvenient time. Quote" we only deliver in the morning 1-2 days a week when the owner's pick-up truck is available. This the the deal" Unquote. And the grill was delivered with grease finger marks all over the grill metal. Very poor service.
