Tacos el Muchacho Alegre (Happy Boy) — Restaurant in Napa

I was craving for some taco truck food and found this place thru Yelp. It was easy enough to find and the customer service was pretty quick and the guys working were friendly.

I was very hungry and decided to try a bunch of their menu items. I ordered a Mexican style hot dog, steak fries, and four tacos each with a different meat. The hot dog was meh. It had some kick from the peppers on top but I really didn't taste much of the sausage or the bacon that it was wrapped in. The steak fries were just ok too. The fries weren't really crispy and the steak felt dry. The green chili sauce added a lot of flavor and really made up for everything else. It was definitely filling. All four tacos were pretty standard, I didnt feel like they wowed me. The steak one was, again, dry. The birria had nice flavor but it felt muted compared to other birria I've had. The pastor wasn't very flavorful to me. The cabeza was easily my favorite part of the meal. It was flavorful, tender and made for a satisfying two-bite taco.

Overall, I would say I didn't go completely crazy about this place and its food. It wasn't really bad by any means but it definitely didn't fulfill my taco truck cravings. Maybe I came on an off night, I would probably try it again later should it...

I had the pleasure of trying out the food truck that came to Kastner Honda today, and WOW, what an experience! From the moment I stepped up to the window, the friendly staff greeted me with big smiles and a warm welcome. The menu had so many delicious options, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.

I went with the Taco plate and it was absolutely mouthwatering! The flavors were incredible, and you could tell that everything was made with care and high-quality ingredients. The portion size was perfect, and I left feeling fully satisfied.

Not only was the food amazing, but the truck itself had such a fun, vibrant vibe that made the entire experience even better. It’s clear this food truck is a local gem, and I can’t wait to see them back at Kastner Honda again soon. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out—you won't be disappointed!

I have hired the Tacos El Muchacho Alegre truck twice now - the first time for work, and based on that experience, I hired them for our (large) rehearsal dinner party for my wedding. They are SO fantastic to work with, and the food is delicious. They are very communicative in the planning process, which is so nice. When planning a wedding, you are dealing with so many details - it is great to work with a vendor who is just on top of it all!
