About a month ago I purchased two items for pickup. Unfortunately both items being fully assembled, they did not fit in our SUV.
At the time of pickup they had me sign before showing me the items, and this should have been a red flag.
Once we pulled into the dock, we realized both items would not fit. We loaded one of two items in our trunk, and asked the warehouse what we could do about the second item. They said if we couldn’t come back within an hour it would be returned. Living an hour away, we could not get back in an hour. We were unable to make accommodations to get the item at a different time so we were fine with it being returned and we could just order it for delivery, knowing that us picking it up ourselves had not worked out.
Well, fast forward - now Crate & Barrel and the warehouse staff is alleging that we did somehow magically pick up both items at the time of pickup event though it is physically impossible both of those boxes would fit in an SUV fully assembled.
It has taken their customer service 10 days just to arrive at this answer and send me the signed pick up form, after I already explained in great detail the situation.
Allegedly, the item is no where in their warehouse inventory and was never sent back. Which can only lead me to believe that their warehouse staff took it themselves or sold it off, and the company is expecting us to foot the bill for their stolen merchandise.
This was are first crate and barrel purchase, and needless to say it will be our last. We will be contacting the BBB, because after looking online this is not the first incident of fraudulent activity by their...
Read moreA vast majority of these items are damaged, while there are good deals… some things I am VERY surprised they sell because they are so broken. Sales people will try to talk you into purchasing anyway without being transparent. I did purchase a large couch and have been happy with it (it did have an ink stain on the leather and crooked leg upon purchase) People who helped me load my sofa into the truck were very rude, I had to wait 15 to 20 min for them to answer the door bell to the garage and then a long wait for them to find my item. At the end of it all they demanded a tip… and I still loaded the thing in… honestly this is way over priced for the amount of money they charge and the amount of damage throughout all the items. End to end poor experience… I’m semi happy with...
Read moreA lot of the furniture here I expected to have flaws, but most items were nearly ruined and heavily soiled. There were dressers and consoles with doors hanging off, large wood chunks missing, legs broken off and couches so soiled even the best professional cleaning service would laugh at. And despite this, items were discounted heavily, but not heavily enough to outweigh the cost of the item plus the additional labor of fixing the item. Unless you specialize in refurbishment, I wouldn't go here expect to find the greatest deal on furniture. Decorations and accoutrements were in pretty good condition and there were great deals. Lots of excellent condition Le Creuset and household appliances for...
