DO NOT GO HERE EVEN IF YOURE STARVING TO DEATH
When I first moved here, this place was a staple. They were a block away from my home and getting off work late as a server/bartender, it was convenient to be able to come here. Being in the food industry for 9 years I am very understanding of certain things when it comes to others in the industry.
But TWICE now I have had terrible experiences. Yesterday, they claimed they were short staffed so they closed the dining room early and for me to go to the drive thru. Then when I pulled around to the drive thru, (which was EMPTY) I was told that "the drive thru is backed up and it would be a thirty minute wait for my order."
THEN I decided to try again tonight. I asked for 3 Tacos no meat, and no cheese. So BEANS AND LETTUCE ONLY. They charged me for the beans and still put meat on the tacos. Realizing this when I got home, I tried to call and tell them I would be returning. Someone answered and hung up immediately. So I came back and they were closed. A blonde boy inside was mopping and saw me at the window and when I waved at him he ignored me. So I honked my horn letting everyone inside know I was there. He came to the window and i apologized for honking and he gave me a hole bunch of sass asking what I wanted. I told him I was charged extra for a substitution, and the order was wrong. He demanded the mess up order back and when I handed it to him he said very rudely "where is your receipt?" I showed him and he went to get someone else. Then came another employee who had the messed up order in his hand smirking and literally looking like he was going to throw it at me. I told him, that I dont eat meat or cheese. That if I could get a remake or a refund whatever would be easier for them because it looked like they were closing. (at 11:20pm not 3AM like the window says) he they looked behind him, chuckled and went "fine, I will remake this for you"
I dont trust eating it because these boys looked young and malicious. I was offered no apology for the mistake. They didn't even give me the refund for the unnecessary upcharge either. Do not go here ever. The customer service is terrible and so are the people...
Read moreVisited here on my way home from work late at night around 10:30. When I pulled into the parking lot, I saw about 6 or 7 cars in line at the drive-thru and was expecting to probably be in and out of there in about 15 minutes, tops.
However, it took me FORTY FIVE MINUTES before I even reached the ordering screen. I rolled down my car window and heard the guy in the car in front of me screaming at whoever was working the window. No doubt, he was livid for having to wait so long for FAST FOOD. Then, the unthinkable happened. This restaurant, which is open til 2 or 3 in the morning on Friday nights, closed. Yes, you heard right. The woman taking orders came over the loudspeaker and said "I'm sorry about the wait, but we're closed." No explanation, nothing. In disbelief, I repeated back "you're what?? You're closed??" and received no further response. I had been waiting in line for FORTY FIVE MINUTES only for them to inexplicably shut down the restaurant 4 hours early?? Are you kidding me??
I will NEVER go to this location again. This is not the first time I've waited an inexcusable amount of time in the drive thru. In previous visits, after waiting forever and finally pulling up to the window, I witnessed the staff screwing around and moving at a snails pace inside. The entire night staff needs to be fired as well as whoever manages there at night. I don't ever expect fast food service to be the best (you get what you pay for, and, let's be honest, high school and college kids have their heads firmly planted halfway up their asses most of the time anyway), but this place is HORRIBLE. Take an extra 10 minutes and go to the location on 75th and Rickert. Much better service without having to worry about sprouting a gray hair while sitting in...
Read moreLike many others have mentioned, the wait time at this Taco Bell is crazy. I have gone there more than once over the past few months as it's the most convenient Taco Bell, and it's the slowest fast food restaurant I have been to. I'm not sure if it's because they're understaffed or something else, but it has been this way for months. I keep giving this location multiple chances hoping that maybe it was just a rare situation where maybe someone called off sick, but they have not improved. I drove by there today and there were at least 9 cars lined up in the drive-thru.
What ended up making me not want to go back to this location though is that 2 weeks back I had gone in to order just a Freeze drink as the drive-thru seemed pack. There was only one other person in line in front of me and one behind me. I placed my order for my drink, and it took 10 minutes for me to actually get a drink. As soon as the cashier finished up the order of the person behind me, she left to go to the bathroom or something. Eventually when she got back behind the counter (no other customers had lined up at register), someone else mentioned to her that she could grab my drink. She ended up putting the dink in a normal cup instead of the normal Freeze cups, but at least I got it. I'm use to most Taco Bell restaurants giving you a drink very shortly after placing an order
I probably won't return back to this Taco Bell for a few months even though it's more convenient for where I usually go to. Even though it's a little out of the way, The 75th St/Naperville Plainfield Rd location is waaaay better. With the time someone has to wait for their food at the Aurora Ave location drive-thru, it'll probably be quicker to just drive to the 75th St location and...
