I purchased my son's loft bed from Cribs To College 4 years ago and had an awesome experience. So we decided to purchase my daughter's low loft bed from here as well. Showroom experience was wonderful.....warehouse/delivery experience not so much. Today was my scheduled delivery day. They arrived within the 3 hour window to tell me that there is an "emergency" because half of my bed is on their truck and the other half is on a completely different truck. They informed me that they would be back in 1 1/2 hours because they need to go all the way back to Chicago to get the rest of the bed. Sounds sketchy, but fine. 20 minutes later they come back and tell me that the truck that the rest of the bed is on will be in the neighboring town so they will drop it off. Again, sounds a bit off, but fine. They assemble the bed within 30 minutes (no one ever came to bring additional parts or half a bed) and when I go to look at it I notice it's dirty but nothing a Clorox wipe can't fix. They leave...I begin to clean the bed that is more filthy than I realized and noticed that they didn't put in the wooden pegs that go into the screw holes and there is an odd hole on the back of the wall at the top of the stairs. So there is big holes throughout the frame and a hole in back wall. Fabulous. I called the store and was told I would have to call the warehouse - ok fine. Talk to the warehouse who informs me that he'll call the driver and get back to me. Back to cleaning I go. While cleaning I then noticed that the front rail is cracked and chipped!!! I immediately call the warehouse back who informs me that the driver said they didn't receive the wood pegs so they didn't put them in (nor did they tell me this when they were here. Perhaps this is what they were waiting for? Who knows?!?!). I was told the warehouse would mail then to me. Really?? Snail mail - fine. Oh and the hole on the back wall is because the stairs can go on either side so it’s reversible. Ok fine, not how it was in the showroom but I’ll live with it. I then tell the warehouse about the crack and chip and he tells me he'll send out a furniture guy. A furniture guy? When?? I said I want a new one TODAY. I was told he would call me back in 30 minutes to see when he can get someone to come out. Over an hour later still no return call. Customer service at its finest. Called the warehouse back where I was told me he just got back and then I got "disconnected". Called back again and was asked what the problem was again. So I explained, again, that I needed the hole pegs & screw covers and a new guard rail because my current one is cracked. He proceeds to tell me that they can't come back out today or tomorrow but next week, but not Monday or Tuesday because they are booked solid. As you could imagine I conveyed my dissatisfaction and was told that the bed is still usable. Right ok!!! I again strongly communicated my dissatisfaction. Within seconds of this there is miraculously a cancellation in my neighborhood so they will be here tomorrow between 2-5. Right. So we'll see if the new/missing pieces of the bed get here tomorrow or not - I'm guessing there will be another...
Read moreWe ordered a crib with all of the conversion pieces, and a dresser with a changer top. Originally the customer service was good... But we were misquoted on when our items would be in, by about 3 weeks each. Luckily we ordered our things well ahead of time, because we were still able to get them before the baby arrived. I did appreciate that they held both pieces at the warehouse until they were both in, and until after we had moved into our new place so that they could deliver all at once. Only problem- On the day of delivery they brought "everything" up and assembled pretty quickly, and when I went to check it out before they left, the dresser was missing. I told the delivery guys that, and they figured out that they had delivered and assembled my dresser to another couple who's dresser wasn't in yet. Now, I get that mistakes happen, but they had to go an hour away to take the dresser back from that poor couple and deliver it to me. I was kind of upset that we had to then wait another 3 hours to get the rest of our things- but also that the poor other couple thought they had all of their nursery furniture and then had to return the dresser. I'm sure they weren't very happy. When they arrived with our dresser, the changer top was missing. When we called to figure out where it was and what had happened- they told us it was our fault and we hadn't ordered it. Both my Mother in law and I had spoken with the sales rep who I will not name and had both told her that we wanted the changer top. When we spoke with a manager all he said was "well that's odd. That never happens" and was barely apologetic. The quality of the furniture is very nice, and they did do a nice job assembling it- but customer service from the time that they already have your money is severely lacking. If you're going to order here do it well in advance and check up on/ confirm what you are getting multiple times before you receive it so there are...
Read moreMy husband and I first went here at the end of February and we really liked a crib and they originally said it wouldn't be available until April 5th which was MUCH BETTER than what we had heard elsewhere but at the time, we figured we'd keep shopping before making a decision. We tried to go elsewhere but that didn't work out either so we called Ken and it was a match made in heaven! He actually remembered us, honored the price and options we had discussed (he even put it in writing on a business card) and since I wanted a different color than I had originally intended on, when I asked when can I get it (hoping April 5th was still feasible) he said Saturday morning. I almost cried from excitement (and pregnancy hormones LoL) and I said, let's do it NOW! Shortly after our call, he promptly emailed me my receipt, the name of the person handling delivery and assembly. On Friday afternoon, my husband texted the delivery driver who responded almost immediately and said he would be here between 7:30 and 8 am. Saturday morning, the driver texted and said he'd be here by 8 and at 8:00 am they were here. The 2 delivery guys were very respectful about not wearing shoes on our carpet and at 8:21 am they left and our baby room was as impeccable as we'd left it for them. They did a GREAT JOB and were super polite and respectful! We will definitely continue to support their business! Ken and his wife are beautiful people and great to work with. Thank you both again and GO...
