I have been going to Planet Fitness off and on for over a decade. Back in November I went into this location to cancel my membership. The employees helping me were two very young boys. They took my Info and canceled my membership. I asked if I was all set and I was told yes. Its been cancelled. It's been 5 months and I noticed a charge for $21.99 on my bank transactions when checking to see if a check cleared. (shame on me for not noticing earlier but an amount that small isn't exactly a red flag difference) I called to see what this is about. I was told that my account was still active. "They cancelled the wrong account". I then asked to cancel my account and asked what they will do to fix this mistake. I was asked if I had proof. (they canceled the wrong account so no i dont have proof) I was then told that there is no way to believe me and that there is nothing they can do. I was SOL. The employee on the phone told me he was sorry that those specific employees screwed me over but there is nothing he can do to make this right but cancel my account today. I was extreamly stocked by this experience. I usually activate and cancel my pf membership constantly since I was 15 years old. I'm sad to say this terrible customer service has lost me as a future customer. Long story short. Make sure you work with well trained employees and ALWAYS ask for paper confirmations. EDIT* thank you for the generic copy and paste response PF. I did try to communicate with a staff members multiple times. Do business with local gyms instead. Do not give this corporation your business. They do not value thier decade long...
Read moreJune 2023 UPDATE This club has gone downhill substantially in the past year and a half! The staff has very high turnover as well as their facility is filthy.
Almost every time I go in there. The water fountain is always dirty with spit and hair every time I have recently gone there. In fact, there was a piece of hair that was in the sink of the water fountain….For two weeks, no one had ever wiped it down! There is dust and sweat all over the workout machines and treadmills.
Now that Planet Fitness has opened up the past couple of summers for all high school students that can go for free, the gym is completely packed with most kids hanging out on machines just talking or playing on their phones! The staff said that there’s nothing that they can do about keeping the place clean because they cannot keep up with it and are shortstaffed anyway. Really disappointing. I may consider changing gyms at this point since I pay for the black card membership which really does not make it worth it.
October 2021 Clean faculty and nice people and staff. Also this is one of the clubs that are open 24 hours. Some are not. Also this club is close to my house! I am a pilot and travel all over the country to rate them on my Instagram and TikTok. I am fortunate enough to see many throughout several states as I fly. Most clubs are good, some exceptional, some are just ok
Convenience and close proximity....
Read moreThe club was clean, and I had a good workout, but the music was very loud and the wifi barely worked.
Please turn down the music. Most people have their own headphones, so let them listen to their own noise, rather than invading our ears with the overhead speaker racket. It's annoying for me when I exercise, and I am sure the employees don't enjoy it, either.
UPDATE: The response from the owner stated that I should reach out to my home club's management. Firstly, I used this location, not my home location, so I was addressing the Nashua PF. Secondly, I have already complained twice. The response has either been "they don't let us" or "we need to keep it at a certain volume." If the music was too quiet, a customer can get their own headphone and music device and play at whatever volume they like. Broadcast a Planet Fitness radio station if you want, but this practice of forcing sound on people at a crazy loud volume has to stop.
This response of "talk to management" (which I have) instead of "we will look into this" or anything else but passing the buck is discouraging. But that's often the point. "Talk to corporate," or "there's nothing we can do," are all ways to dismiss and brush off concerns. Anyway, thanks for the reply; now I can adjust my rating...
