Carniceria San Luis — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

My wife and had just visited a restaurant grilling chicken on an and outside grill (Taqueria San Luis #2). We decided to stop here and get more chicken to see if any different. Apparently the restaurant and this market are one in the same as far as the chicken meals. We just ordered the whole chicken with everything. Like the restaurant, It came with some grilled onion in tinfoil, a side of beans (which was more like the appearance of a soup) and some soft corn tortillas and came with a green sauce (almost like a salsa verde) the sauce went well with the chicken. The price was maybe a little above what I’ve seen for half chicken meals considering there wasn’t much to the sides. The beans were very flavorful. While the sauce served was complimentary to the grilled chicken, and even though this chicken was a bit more juicy than the restaurant, I still felt the chicken was a bit dry and as before, not a lot of flavor on its own. This place looks and smells terrible but the food is pretty good. The chicken was cooked perfectly. And the side of beans were incredibly flavorful. The only reason I can’t give these guys a higher score is because of the presentation. It’s just that bad. It’s one of the ugliest stores in one of the ugliest markets, no suitable on site seating, and unprofessional packaging. I honestly debated on whether or not to give them 3 stars, but unfortunately, I have to just for presentation alone. There are so MANY things I can say about this place. First off, because I'm FAT AND LOVE FOOD 😂😂, the chicken on the grill isssss LIIIIFFFEEE!!! It's always tender, juicy and seasoned to perfection. Secondly, there selection of meats reminds me of when I lived in FL. I've been searching for one since moving here in 2017. I've made several visits to this store before I wrote a review. For chicken wing lovers, this is IT!! They're nice sized wings and they even have some pre-seasoned also. Lastly, the ENERGY when you enter this place is AMAZING!!
