Xtra Diner Gyro and Grill — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

As a pregnant mama with some pretty specific cravings, finding a reliable spot for delicious food can sometimes feel like a quest. I’ve ordered the gyro from Xtra Gyro Diner and Grill through DoorDash three times now, and each time has been a fantastic experience.

The gyro, which I always get with lamb, onions, cucumber, and a side of cucumber sauce, is consistently spot-on. The lamb is tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the freshness of the veggies really elevates the whole dish.

What truly sets Xtra Gyro apart, though, is their incredible customer service. Knowing I’m expecting, they’ve added a personal touch to my orders—once even writing a sweet note on the box just for me. It’s those little gestures that make all the difference, especially when your taste buds and cravings are on overdrive!

I was able to gauge there was a new owner by the change in ambience and unfortunately by the food as well. Was our go to spot for gyros and tabouli salad but if it stays as consistent as we had it today then we may no longer return.

Tabouli salad was left in long strips and not chopped at all, on top of not being seasoned with anything making it really dry. My fries were asethetically sound but about as crisp as a soggy blanket.

The chicken and gyro are chopped into oblivion which is mostly fine, I prefer larger chunks just for a good bite. The new owner was still very kind, and I am more than willing to give them another try!

This place is so good. My siblings and I met with a cousin here right before the end of our visit to Nashville. They got all kinds of food here, but the Greek food is the best! The falafel was so delicious, so much flavor and so crunchy! We all had gyros with everything in them. Best choice! I had never had Greek food before, but my brothers and my sister told me that it was some of the best they ever had, especially the gyros! We all had eaten baclava before and the baclava here was so tasty! I bought five to take home! The prices were very reasonable too. Good prices. This restaurant is right by the airport and the highway so could get right on the highway after lunch. The owner is very nice, very friendly!...
