Food was good, but there was obvious mold on the water bottle brought to the table. We noticed at the start of our time there, as we’d ordered right away the first time the server came to the table. She said she’d be back as we mentioned that we’d likely get a coffee, but never came back to check on us. We stacked our cups and set them to the front of the table with the moldy bottle. Someone dropped our food off, but immediately left without giving us a chance to ask for new water. Our server was doing side work over by the front doors and talking when she made eye contact with us and came back once we were nearly finished with our meals. We ordered coffees to go and our server was gone before we could mention anything else. I paid, and a different server came over to collect my card and bring it back. We mentioned the mold on the bottles and she said “oh! We have extra tops for whenever that happens.” Then took the bottle and left. So clearly the mold is an issue but nobody is checking before filling and bringing these bottles to the table. We weren’t checked on at all, so the only times we saw our server was to order and to pay. It was busy when we’d come in, so we understood. But by the time we got our food half the restaurant had cleared out and we watched all the servers socializing and talking by the front door. Overall frustrating experience, but the food is good and it’s a very cute spot. Our server was also very nice, just not attentive or very observant. Probably best to go during a slower time, order to go, or bring...
Read moreExtremely cute place with a really friendly staff! I ordered a chai with oat milk which I can probably say it was one of the best iced chai lattes that I’ve had. I had to wait a few minutes to order my food because the kitchen was trying to catch up but the wait wasn’t long at all. I order the chicken katsu roll with fries to go. I probably should’ve ordered for dine in because my food got a little soggy but that’s ok because it still tasted pretty good! The fries were a little disappointing though and the chicken on the sandwich could’ve been seasoned more BUT overall at pretty good meal. I ate all of my food so there are no real complaints here, just me being picky lol. I will say that the parking is a little tight but there seems to be plenty of street parking, if you’re ok with that. It is on a busy street so I accidentally passed it the first time because the sign is small but it looks like they’re getting a larger sign now. I would definitely go back for lunch and hopefully I’ll get to...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying that we have been here plenty of times and have loved it. It’s been a couple months since we’ve been in and were very disappointed in our most recent visit.
I totally understand that with inflation and Covid etc prices had to go up. Totally fair enough. However, we paid $15 for the Turkish Eggs and while they were tasty It was not enough food at all. It was just 2 poached eggs, sauce and one slice of toast cut in half. Just not what you expect for $15.
My wife had the Brussels and added the poached egg for $2.50 extra for a total of $15. It was under the salad and bowls section so we thought it would be quite substantial but really it felt more like a side. Just a big bowl of roasted Brussels. Unfortunately the egg was also overdone, which does happen, but is disappointing.
Maybe we just made the wrong choices with the food as we’ve previously had a great time there but it was tough to walk out of there still hungry after nearly $50 for two dishes, two...
