I don't typically leave reviews on Google, but I have to express my frustration with this company and warn other potential clients that your money is better spent elsewhere:
I called Gabe's to repair a washing machine that was not draining water. The repair crew came to our house, checked the machine for about 5 minutes and came to the decision that I needed a new drain pump. Total price: $390 for parts, labor, and the trip to the house. Fine. Paid for the repair. The receipt stated the parts and labor are warrantied for 30 days.
11 days later and after no more than 3-4 wash loads, the machine starts having the same problem of not draining. I called Gabe's back and scheduled them to return. I spoke with the manager, Jimmy, who immediately began discussing the potential of additional charges if it turned out to be a different issue, such as a blockage. I questioned Jimmy as to why his crew didn't check for a blockage when they were first at my house and his response was "you think they would" and chuckled. Yes, I do think they would considering they were there to repair the machine.
When the second crew came to the house I was immediately greeted by a tech with an attitude. I began discussing the drainage issue with him and he just talked over me and was extremely rude. Basically, "do you want the repair or not?" I was in a bind and needed to do laundry so I agreed to the additional repair. Turns out there was a blockage in my water line that needed to be removed. I spoke with Jimmy again who basically yelled at me for questioning his employees work the first time. He then chastised me for not doing my own check of a filter his crew supposedly cleared less than 2 weeks ago (also, it was not the filter but a hose running in the back). Despite coming out just 11 days prior, they would not honor the work and I would have to again pay for a repair. Another $110 and I will never use this company again.
I understand the need to pay your employees and time is money. However, I do not believe the work was done correctly the first time. No one could even confirm if I needed a new drain pump to begin with. I was erroneously charged a second time for the incomplete work originally completed. Gabe's does not stand behind their work and the unprofessional attitude of their manager and the second tech took me by compete surprise. Read moreI attempted to get my Frigidaire refrigerator serviced under my manufacturer's warranty. The service technician that came was very friendly guy and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, for some reason the model number on my refrigerator did not match what they had on the work order. After looking further into it, there was a mistake made by the store that it was purchased at and the refrigerator was registered under the wrong model number. Gabe's told me it could not be serviced because the model number was incorrect. A little frustrating but that made sense to me. However, Gabe's seemed to fail to crosscheck the model number I gave them with the one the manufacturer entered on the work order. After calling Frigidaire they told me that Gabe's could have called them and had it resolved in a matter of minutes which was very frustrating as well. They then wanted to charge me for the visit even though they did not do any work on it and and everything was to be covered by the manufacturer since it was under warranty. After I resolved the model number issues. I scheduled another appointment with Gabe's. I tried to explain the whole series of events to the person I spoke with to schedule the appointment to ensure that they didn't reorder any parts that they may have already ordered for me. The next day I get a call from them canceling my appointment and refusing to do any service for me because I did not pay the last bill that was suppose to be covered under my warranty. It seems that all of this could have been avoided if they would have just compared the model number on the work order with the one I originally told them. I understand mistakes happen but Gabe's did not want to acknowledge any responsibility for this and just refused to service my refrigerator. All of this over a $50 bill that was to be covered by the manufacturer. I would never recommend them to anyone, especially for any work to be done under warranty.

Moore which the fridge is under warranty , whom I take care of and live with. She knew the name as she checked the status and said you haven’t received a tracking number yet. I own a business and I know exactly what that means, and it has been two weeks after you sent a service person to house. You should have called to inquire why I was calling, so now I will explain in more detail about the 1st service man that explained to my 86 yr old dad that it was the ice cream makers making ice cream softer not necessarily his freezer. This after my dad had been eating on the ice cream for two weeks. Was told a date you would come out which was five days after the 1st call that got changed 7 days after call. More detail in this part too if you prefer me to share. You sent a service person that not only didn’t bother to introduce herself, never said a word to say us except after pushing a series of buttons said, it’s the compressor, “Will take a week or two for it to come in.”when I asked her a question , she was rude. This was witness by me, my dad and my dads caregiver..I could go into detail what she said or you can call me. I will be done with the dentist Monday after 11:30, which I will be going by Lowe’s to inform them of my grievance and request they replace the refrigerator/ freeze or send a loaner so we are not selecting our dinner meats from the neighbors since it has been well over 4 weeks. ave to use this business because of warranty, however still over 4 weeks with out a fridge/freezer that works.
