On Tuesday November 14, 2023 I arrived at the shop at 10:50am because I was referred by a good friend of mines.

Remind you my friend told me to ask for “Rachael” because she’s the owner and she’s very good so I did just that and Rachael told me that she was Booked and had a client was coming soon at 11:30am she was done with a client that was already in her chair. I felt like she really didn’t want to do my hair

She informed me that she was going to get one of her girls to do my hair so I said okay cool. When the young lady name “DaNiyah” came in from sitting outside of her car I immediately asked her how much was her price for a “Washed & Flat” ironing and she told me $100 real fast and had the nerve to asked me was that ok? I replied Yess even though I wasn’t okay with it.

While I was getting my hair washed I asked her did she have a price list posted up or on the website and she said No so afterwards that’s when she told me that my price will be $80.

She also asked me what kind of style do I want and I told her to give me a nice style and she gave me a straight flat ironing look like my 12 year old daughter could

I asked her what was the difference between a regular “Flat ironing” and a “Silk Press” and she said she use the same thing and I was so confuse after that🤦🏽‍♀️.

Yessss I did bring this up to the owner name “Rachael about how I wasn’t Happy about my service and I even sent her pictures of my hair from when I had gotten a “Silk Press” before from a different shop on September 19, 2023 and I also sent her the pictures that I was supposedly be getting a “Silk Press” on Tuesday November 14, 2023Silk by one of her Girls and all she said was “OK”!!!!!!!

That’s very unprofessional on behalf of the owner & I shall won’t return back!!!

I have been going to Rachel on and off for years. She's one of the best stylists and business women in Nashville. She's a real stylist. She knows about hair care and cares for hair. She doesn't complain and is not intimidated by thick hair. My hair has never been as healthy and long outside her hands. Every style I had was legendary and one of kind. She's beautiful , punctual and professional. She books up fast. Literally the definition of booked and busy.She books exclusively online! You can't just show up. Or call the day of wanting to get an appointment with her. I have never waited to be seen or sat around the shop all day. I never seen other clients sitting around waiting. I love the shop conversations engaging with everyday women.Minx is a vibe. All of the stylists and clients look like...

It was okay. I'm going to give them a chance. 55 min wait for a consultation, had to reschedule a phone meeting. Very informative. But i was uncomfortable with a conversation they were having about a biracial clients hair, and "surprised " the client isn't just "black". Im biracial n I present as black. We need to do better as a community. I hope that conversation wont happen about me when my hair "turns " into the unexpected. Pls be mindful of who is in the room. Unless, i tell you - you wont know i am mixed because i look and I AM BLACK... but i also belong to another race and ethnicity. Due to the reviews and their work I've seen online... i will be going back to actually do my hair. I hope the next time i feel...
