The first thing you notice is without people on Sunday, which is very rare. The place is super clean, with very nice decoration without exaggerating, a single waiter, who seemed to me to be the manager or owner of the place, but his treatment was very attentive and friendly. the food: it was served quickly we didn't have to wait long, the tacos with enough meat, the garnish cucumber radishes and pineapple, all good. the sauces, I think they lack a little more spice but the flavor is acceptable. We ordered a plate alambre de pollo is a seasoned xhixken with yellow peppers and onios with melted cheese on top, comes with rice and beans, the portion was quite good. the bad, 4 tortillas, it was missing at least two more tortillas. Two guaraches with secina. Quite acceptable, the large huaraches, cheese and two sauces. I fell short in the secina The portion, although good, is a to little for two good-sized huaraches. Details like the dishes in most Mexican restaurants come hot, they felt cold and that made a little difference but in general a good place, good service, good flavor. A come back...
Read moreThe restaurant is part of El Hornito Bakery #4 here in Nashville. Wonderful bread and pastries! Fresh, tender, flaky, and delicious!
Husband and I also ate at the restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I had the Cemita sandwich. That sandwich could easily feed two people! It is huge! Crispy chicken cutlet, piled high with cheese, loaded with creamy avocado, and with a smathering of spicy chipotle peppers - it was a delight to eat! If you dont' care for spicy, you can ask for the chipotle to be left off.
Hubby had the Alambre (hope I spelled that right, I'm going strictly on memory here). Again, incredibly fresh and wonderful! They do not skimp on the cheese here. Both my sandwich and his plate were loaded with cheese. The meat was tender and juicy. The flavor was amazing. My husband does not normally like corn tortillas but loved the ones here.
Can't wait to go back and try other things...
Read moreDelicious! The staff don't speak a lick of English, but I speak and understand enough Spanish that I was able to order chicken flautas, tacos with chorizo, pick out an aloe drink, and a strawberry sunday. Every bit of it was fantastic. The flautas has a spice to them that I enjoyed and was different than I'd had before at other restaurants and the strawberry sunday was so creamy that I paused eating it to post this review. The employee even showed me where to find the fun little spoon it comes with. They were happy to work with my super basic Spanish skills and help me. I will definitely...
