As someone with accessibility needs, I was appalled by Switchyards’ handling of my inquiry about making their space accessible. The location I frequented is situated on a steep incline, making it nearly impossible for anyone with mobility challenges to access. When I reached out to suggest reasonable accommodations, such as accessible parking or alternative measures, I was met with dismissiveness and an unwillingness to explore solutions.
Instead of showing any effort to address the issue or demonstrate inclusivity, they repeatedly told me to use a different location—one that was inconvenient and outside of my ability—or accept a refund. The message was loud and clear: they are not willing to accommodate diverse needs.
What’s worse is their tone throughout the exchange. Rather than engaging with my suggestions or acknowledging the barriers they’ve created, they opted to brush off the matter entirely. This kind of behavior is not just disappointing—it’s ableist.
Accessibility is not a “nice-to-have” feature; it’s a basic expectation in modern businesses. Switchyards’ refusal to take actionable steps to create an inclusive environment sends a clear message that they don’t value customers who require accessible spaces. If you’re looking for a coworking space that values inclusivity, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I usually go to Starbucks but Nashville has finally followed suit with the rest of the country and many locations are focused on mobile orders and no seating. Finally got accesss to this place and I am enamored. The workspaces are great. Outlets galore. And the restrooms and clean and have loud NPR playing for privacy. It’s really cool. My only problem is sometimes I’m there for hours and in the zone, I forget there is a world outside (but they have some outside...

I’ve tried other “co-working” spaces but none of them have been a good fit.
They’ve created a space where’s getting a lot of work done is really natural… but without a hustle and grind mentality.
I don’t feel like I have to trade my humanity for productivity.
Oh, and there’s also bottomless CREMA coffee.
All for an extremely reasonable price. I can’t recommend...
