Target — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

I have come to this target two different times to find phone mounts for my car and have come away empty handed. The first time, I checked the target app before I went in and they said they had one in stock. But when I got there, I couldn’t find it. I asked for help and was told that the app is wrong and I’m SOL. After refusing to believe them, I found the one on a “put back” cart and when I asked if I could buy that one, I was told I was not allowed to because it wasn’t restocked (even though it was sitting in the cart 5 feet away from where it should’ve been stocked. They refused to stock it and sell it to me.

Today, I go back to buy a different one for a new car. Same story. I checked the app, this time it said there were multiple, so that’s why I chose to go back to this target over other local targets…more inventory. So I go and grab what I THINK is the correct one, only to find out it is a $60 car Mount instead of the $25 model I wanted. I didn’t figure this out until checkout, even though this was shelved and labeled as the $25 model. So I went back to look for the other one, couldn’t find it, and once again asked for help. The person helping basically told me the app is wrong and there’s nothing they can do for me, because they don’t have it in and I’d have to pay full price for the other one even though it was priced incorrectly.

I have avoided this target intentionally for months because of how poorly I was treated the first time, and now I will never return. Such a poor experience, when you ask for help the workers treat you like a burden. They won’t have what you’re looking for even if you do your due diligence and look up inventory on the app before you come in. Don’t waste your time, don’t come to this target ever. 0/5....

This is where I got my Nintendo Switch 2. The console was amazing, but that's not what we're here to talk about. You see, this was back in the day when the Switch 2 was nearly impossible to find. And I had foolishly neglected to pre-order. I had scoured every nearby retail store that could have possibly carried it. No luck. The gamestop employees knew me by name because of how often I called. This Target was one of many stores that I had tabs on, waiting for a notification to tell me my console was available. This feature was not unusual to this store. But what was unusual was the way they came through. This day began like any other. Wake up, search online for an available Switch 2, find none, and move on. I had continued with my day for some time, when my phone dinged. I looked, expecting to find another stupid joke from one of the many group chats from which I could not escape from. But I was mistaken. Target had notified me that Switch 2's were available in stock. I raced to the car and exceeded the speed limit on the road to White Bluff Target. When I arrived, I ran straight to the video game section, for I had been there before. Target had set up a checkout desk right next to the Nintendo merchandise. I like to believe this is to counteract any petty theft from one shopper to another while they were hustling to the front of the store. Behold, one brand new, Nintendo Switch 2 was in stock. I paid my fee and took my glorious prize home. Five Star...

There is never anyone that works at the store when I need help. It almost seems like there are not enough employees, or they are all on break? Don't get me wrong. There was one time that I was there, shopping. And, my APP for Cartwheel could not connect in the store. I looked at my selections just before I went into the store. When I got to an isle I noticed that my phone couldn't connect🤔. I had to go to the end of an isle to ask someone for help. He was an employee. His response was..,"Yah, That is a problem that we are working on".

Uh., Ok. So I have Multiple Sclerosis. I need all of the discounts that I can get. That is why I signed up with Cartwheel. He told me to go around to where the things are that I "think" that were on my Cartwheel, and tell the person checking you out.., what had happened.😤🙀. Okay..first thing first. My memory is horrible. It is embarrassing to have to tell someone that I don't know that I was trying to rely on the App that their store is having issues with. I didn't let it get me down.
