My visit was great. Incredible gear to demo and great staff. Anthony was at the front desk and took the time to let me hear some of my mixes through their analog audio gear in the back, which was eye-opening and informative. The display studio in the back feels more like an office than a showroom, but it had 2 consoles, a full rack of amazing outboard gear and top of the line studio monitors. I made sure to at least purchase a cable on my way out since Anthony spent the time to patch in a few different preamps and EQs for me to hear. Their phone system is odd though, the sign out front said to call to make an appointment but the other line just had hold music and no confirmation I had actually reached VKA. I've been to this store twice. The first time was a couple of years ago and it was a fantastic experience and they even gave me a free shirt just for visiting!

Today was the second time and surely the staff has been changed out. Horrible attitude and no desire to help. Store was largely empty based on what I saw so it was not a situation where they were swamped.

Despite the fact that an employee on the phone told me I could come in and demo a recording interface, upon arrival I was told it was not hooked up. No effort was made to set it up or even suggest a better time to come back and try it out.

Maybe it was an off day, I don't know. Hopefully others have a more positive experience, but if you walk in and get treated like complete trash, at least you...

Got myself in a bit of a bind recently. Got back home and had to send vocals in a bit of a time crunch. I use a completely outdated Apollo Twin with Thunderbolt 2 ports. I left the adapter and cables in Dallas and had no way of getting my work done on the timeline I was on. Michael at Vintage King completely saved the day.
