On 4/5/25 Ellie, the Manager, quietly came up behind me while I was shopping and yelled at me that they were closed. This really startled and freaked me out and she just stood there glaring at me and wouldn’t leave. I had no other option but to go past her, as I was blocked off from any other exit, which I was not looking forward to. She was hostile and angry for what reason I don’t know. Then I began to walk towards her, as it was my only option, and she corrected herself and said we close in 5 minutes. I continued walking towards the check out and she let two other people in the store as I was checking out. I was shocked at this due to her anger towards me and that the store was “closed”. I suddenly remembered my previous experience shopping there and that she was also very rude that day as well, although I don’t remember the exact reason for her previous rudeness, I definitely remembered her being very rude and unprofessional. The store itself is great, no complaints but the Manager, Ellie…well let’s just say I am shocked she is a manager and even employed there. She definitely has a negative impact on this business. I hope the owners read this and speak with this woman who needs some help with people skills and...
Read moreI’ve been an Erma’s customer for more than 15 years and have been so impressed with the staff and management’s knowledge, compassion and professionalism that I thought it was far past time to say so publicly. Everyone from Ellie (the manager for 16 of those years), Taryn, Ruben and all the rest of them have never once failed to guide me productively and patiently even when I would have found fault with my approach based on being anxious about an issue or illness or just being less than joy filled though hopefully that is perceived as rare! That is the truest testament I could give to the people who make this business shine and who have earned profound respect and admiration from me and so many of the rest of us. I know I am not alone in being deeply grateful for not only the huge selection of approaching “pharm grade” supplements at fair prices but the unending support this group of people who have served their community for so long and so well that I can speak to people in adjacent communities for miles around and have them share my love of the people who make this business the gem that it is for all of us! (Sorry for the mushy parts Ellie/Taryn/Ruben…but it had to be said! We...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the owner of this store. I used to love shopping at Erma's. I am celiac, and this store has a lot of food options for me. Apparently, even though there is a sign at the register stating that masks are required for all employees and customers, the mask policy is not enforced. In the last two months, I have shopped at Erma's 3 times. Each time, there are employees and/or customers in the store without masks. In fact, I was there today and the employee behind the counter was not wearing her mask over her nose. I also mentioned to her that there was an entire family walking around the store without masks. The response that I received was "I am not the police". I stated that this is a private business and service can be refused. No response. Unfortunately, my family and I will never shop here again. It is too bad because I really like this store, but I cannot support a business that does not care about the safety and health of their employees and customers. So long Erma's...
