Red Door Mercantile is a delightful gift shop in downtown Neenah thatâs brimming with charm and character. The store has a cozy, quaint vibe, making it an enjoyable place to browse, whether youâre a local or just visiting.
Their selection is impressive and diverse, ranging from books about camping and recipe collections to soaps, candles, and holiday decorations. Thereâs also a great variety of local swag, like apparel featuring the cityâs name, which would make a perfect keepsake or memento if youâre from out of town. The blend of mass-produced and handmade items ensures thereâs something for everyone.
I visited just before Christmas, and while the store was understandably busy, adding a festive buzz, it did make navigating the aisles a bit tricky. Despite the crowds, the staff was exceptionally friendly, greeting customers warmly upon entry and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Prices are a bit above average, but the uniqueness of the products and the opportunity to support a local business make it well worth the splurge. If youâre looking for a memorable shopping experience or a special gift, Red Door Mercantile is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for some holiday hustle and bustle during...
Read moreMy daughter in law purchased tickets for the Red Door Christmas open house located in the beautiful small but cozy city, Neenah. We were greeted at the door, given the cutest gingerbread bag, and instructions. The Red Door has many classics items of home decor, toys, puzzles, kitchen ware, books, men gifts, food items, and a section of Neenah souvenirs just to name a few. At this open house ,she had samples and give aways at certain stations that we were given to us to put into our bags plus a thank you box when we exited the store. Upon opening, I found full size items from her store. This owner is very generous and super sweet and friendly. The whole staff are friendly and amazing people. The prices vary from low to high, one would not be disappointed when shopping at the Red Door. After we were done, my girlfriends and I ate lunch at an Indian restaurant, the food was delicious. It was a beautiful fall day for a group of girlfriends to shop and have a fun...
Read moreI've been a customer for a few years and have even taken my family and friends here. I like exploring the store and taking my time looking at everything...Today I come in but I'm not wearing makeup and my hair's in a hat because I had a health appointment earlier and I just don't get dressed up for that. I have things in my hand that I'm going to purchase like I do every time I'm here but the owner must've thought I looked I was going to steal and comes up to me, grabs the items from my hand and makes an off-handed comment in a condescending tone like "oh you poor thing I'll keep these up by the counter when you're ready" and I took that as my queue to finish my exploring. I would've stayed longer and probably purchased more items because I love to shop for gifts for my family here but clearly I don't fit her image of an ideal customer. Way to make me feel bad for getting dressed up just to visit...
