Shattuck Park — Attraction in Neenah

Walked into this from both bridge aligned entrances. Lovely park in the middle of downtown Neenah, right on the water with many boats and slips. Apparently redesigned since the Neenah Towers went up on the edges, if not just within, the park's boundries. Those are lovely buildings, as well, and the park as you find it today compliments perfectly with these 3 tall office buildings. Curves, often seen in this area, are superbly placed here. Elevations, with a pergola that is just asking for some grapevines or greenery, define an intimate space which is still wide open. Ample light fixtures encourage evening use. We went for the Neenah Farmers Market and it was lovely. We enjoyed the setup of the park because we were able to grab some snacks and sit. The grassy center of the park was open to sit and play. The splash pad was a hit with the littles. During non Farmers Market days it's a nice place for a stroll along the water and library. Awesome for grabbing a book and reading. Future neenah concert series is by far one of my most favorite events to look forward to each year.
