Walking into Great Harvest Bread Company in downtown Neenah on a Friday morning was like stepping into a little slice of heaven. It wasn’t super busy, but there was a steady flow of people coming in, grabbing their orders, and heading out. The vibe was chill, with so much to look at, jams, snacks, cookies, muffins, sandwiches. You name it, they’ve got it. And the smell? Unreal. Like, the kind of smell that makes you wanna camp out there forever, even though it’d probably drive you nuts being so hungry all the time. I ordered the Loaded Bacon Breakfast Sandwich on sourdough bread, and wow. Just wow. The egg, bacon, provolone, avocado, tomato, and that garlic herb spread? Perfection. Every single bite was mouth-watering. Like, actual satisfaction in sandwich form. I finished it and immediately wanted more, it’s that good. The food was just okay which earned them a second star, but what really surprised us was that they ran out of their one and only soup offering, BEFORE NOON ON A SATURDAY! WHAT?!How about you guys have more than one soup to offer and if you see you're running low, MAKE MORE before your customers have to find out via word of mouth that you're out and have to request a refund! I'll admit, they were busy, but not to the degree they shouldn't be used to on a Saturday afternoon. I had the Tuscan Chicken panini which was good, but only got half my meal on account of the lack of soup. My wife who also ordered soup got the Gourmet grilled cheese which was actually smaller than my kid's grilled cheese. Overall, so not worth the $35 price tag and we'll for sure...

My favorite sandwich EVER is from here and I have to come at least once a week for lunch. The sandwich itself is phenomenal (the fresh bread, the thinly sliced ingredients, the crispy bacon... I could go on) but the excellent service is the cherry on top. Everyone is extremely kind and accommodating every time I've been here (and trust me, I've been here many times) even in the middle of a lunch rush. This is my go-to lunch spot whenever I have out-of-town guests and they're never disappointed. Highly recommend!! (BTW - that favorite sandwich I mentioned? Classic club on bee hive white, no tomatoes (just my preference!), untoasted, but I'm sure it would be great toasted too. I literally dream about this sandwich. Try it - you'll thank...
