My husband and I came here on a whim. We walked by and the smell of the food outside was so good so we decided this is where we are eating. We were greated immediately but such kind people. The establishment is smaller but so warm and cozy. The lights were dim and candles we're lit. We got seated at the bar and Alex was our waiter. He gave such good suggestions on what to drink and so we took his advice on drinks and he was right. Phenomenal! He then walked us through the menu. The menu was not overwhelming whatsoever. Also giving his opinion on what he likes and what he thinks we would like. When making our decision he explained to my husband a little bit more about this dish including the texture and flavor and suggested a different one that he may enjoy more. As we waited for our ''warm starter' and dinners he consistently made sure our waters and drinks were never close to empty. Something about being able to watch the chefs cook our food was so nice. Every one of the chefs were polite yet quiet as they were concentrating on preparing meals. The food we had was the best we have ever had by far and then some. The flavors that our plates had were outstanding and everything paired together so well. Part way through our dinner I decided to buy the kitchen a round. And by all means they deserved it. And as someone else mentioned they were drinking while working. That does not and did NOT bother us one bit. Had our food not been far above our expectations then sure, MAYBE that could have something to do with it but it wasn't. Alex then brought us the dessert menu, again giving us his opinion and we took it! It was remarkable. Alex boxed up our food that we wanted to take home and handed us the bill. It was the most expensive dinner my husband and I have ever had. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. It is a more expensive place but from the second we walked in, everything was exceptional. The service, the atmosphere, the effort, the food, the drinks. Everything. This is one of the best experiences we've had together and we will definitely be going back!
(Keep in mind that I have purple hair and piercings, was wearing a not so dressy tank top and leggings and skate shoes. My husband was wearing a hat backwards, bright shirt and pants and skater shoes with piercings. Many people judge a book by its cover and they didn't. We did not know we were going to go here so we were not dressed up in any way, shape, or form. And they didn't treat us any different than anyone else who was in there.)
Thank you Town Council! :) We will...
Read moreI have been going to town council consistently for the last 3 years. This is by far the best restaurant in the Fox Valley. The staff is constantly busy as every time I’m there it’s packed, but they always take the time to chat and thank us for coming in. Alex is extremely fast at making cocktails - yet the presentation and taste is top-notch. I have a lot of favorite cocktail bars in the area and nothing compares to TC. The food is next level as well but I’m sure anyone reading reviews with photos can already tell that. The space is small, but in the best way. I recommend sitting at the bar; it is a chefs table experience. You would be paying more in a big city to be sitting so close. The overall feel of the restaurant is definitely Hallmark movie. Every time I am here, I know it is money well spent- the service, the food and everything in-between is absolutely impeccable and so worth it. Farm to table, antibiotic-free and grass fed steaks, everything is the highest quality you’re going to get. LOVE...
Read moreWe have dined here countless times over the last several years, and for a reason. Easily the best restaurant Neenah (and, more broadly, the Fox Cities) has seen in a long time. The consistency is unparalleled. Generally I'm a creature of habit, especially when I find something I like. I get the Ribeye (cooked Pittsburgh rare) nearly every time. And every time it comes cooked perfectly, which is not easy to do when your cook time is essentially under 8 minutes, there is not a lot of room for error. All of the appetizers and desserts are phenomenal as well. The Gin Gimlet is one of the best. There is nothing on the menu I would not order again. The coziness of this restaurant is very appealing. The staff is the perfect balance of professional, candid, and gregarious. If you come there more than once, they won't forget you. My only regret is that we don't get here...
