Because I have been a loyal customer since 1998, I feel that you should take this review to heart. I have seen this organization transition through the years, some of it was tremendously good but for the last 5 years it has proven disastrous. So bad in fact that if changes are not implemented immediately, I would expect a complete collapse of the retail sector nationwide. Firstly, GW of So IN (and other regions) did away with the âtag of the weekâ promotion and replaced it withâŚNothing! In fact it was around this time that line item prices for every product (but most noticeably textiles) more than Tripled!! Take into account that the $1/tag of the day promo was yanked in addition to a HUGE increase of everything else and the once $50-$75 shopping cart full of dozens of items turned into 3 tops, 1 pair of leggings and two pair of socks. That is RETAIL, not THRIFT SHOPPING.
Second thing is the way stuff gets shoved into the racks, with ZERO room to shuffle the hangers and look at items. But wait, maybe you have SOOO much more stuff because you quit the $1 tag color promoâyou see not only did it get people to buy more but it served to get the oldest products out of there by rotating the tag color scheme weekly.
Thirdly, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THAT THESE ITEMS WERE GIVEN TO YOU?? Meaning that every cent you charge me makes you 100% PROFIT???? You claim that you are doing great things for disadvantaged persons but I KNOW better. Nonprofit corporation??-HA HA HA.
Lastly, the changes, How about a promo for 3 for $5 for Jeans/Tops? BOGO Shoes/Winter Coats? 25% off Weekends??? Anything would be better than what you are offering now. Obviously, you have invested too heavily into lab grown âgemstonesâ and other crap jewelry that you are pushing hard via the âBUY IT NOWâ ripoff button on the SHOPGOODWILL.COM APP/website. And sadly these mistakes coupled with apparent old fashioned GREED is why (unless you have a miraculous change in marketing) I am OUT. FINI DONE, and have only this to say for 30 years of loyaltyâŚGood...
Read moreThe prices at this Goodwill are INSANE! But not in a good way. Used jeans are $10 not expensive jeans either but like Wranglers you can buy new at Walmart for 20 bucks. Shoes are way overpriced, DVDs are too. $3 for a dvd! Salvation Army sells them for .50 cents. Books are now individually priced. I saw paperback novels for $5! I would encourage people to stop donating and stop rounding up your change. That's another thing every time I go to goodwill they ask if I want to round up, no actually o don't and im sick of being asked every time i shop there. And why does every single dvd, cd, book or video tape need a price sticker?!!! They have a book of barcodes at the register that they can scan. These stores in general have become extremely greedy in the...
Read moreI had a car full of things to donate and the person working just stood there staring at me like I had done something wrong. I had to ask him to bring me a tote since and he said he doesnât like using them because itâs too much work. I donated mostly stuffed animals which he they wouldnât even put out and something about them needing to go to a different store. Which I hope Goodwill actually sends them to a different store because if I find out those stuffed animals were thrown in a dumpster instead of being available to children in need Iâm going to be beyond upset. Iâve had good experiences with the people working here in the past, but this guy ruined my desire to ever...
