Parlor Doughnuts — Restaurant in New Albany

I'm very understanding that opening a new business is always rough. Its akways best for people to wait until they work out the kinks before visiting. I visited after they had been open for about two weeks. Got there at 330pm, right before they closed. Probably not smart on my part to visit that late in the day.

Had the pumpkin cheesecake and the churro. Both were great. Also had a couple of coconut and cinnamon minis. There was no cinnamon on yhe cinnamon minis.

When I got there, I asked if they had any churros left, and everyone looked like a deer in the headlights. Then I asked about minis, same reaction. Eventually got my order and tried to pay with cash.

3 employees worked together to give me the correct change, and it was still wrong. I told the employee that rung me up that 38 cents was a quarter, a dime, and three pennies, but, deer in the headlights.

The manager came out and corrected the change. Grabbed my box and there was cheesecake glaze all over it. He changed the box and apologized for the trouble.

I sincerely hope that the employees can learn their way around and learn to count change, or that they can find better help. I will go back in a few weeks and try again, and pay with a card this time. Hope to report that they've got...

Went in this morning got a drink and a spinach pesto sandwich. I was under the impression that the pesto was green so I had went back in and asked for a side of pesto since it wasn’t on the sandwich. They offered to remake it even though I declined they still remade it for me. I was shown that the pesto is a brownish color and it was on my previous sandwich. Even though it was my fault and I was in the wrong they still made me a new sandwich. Every time I’ve been in the store, service is always great and the food, drinks, and donuts are always delicious and fresh. I work right next to the place I go in all the time and get a tropical refresher with strawberry syrup and strawberry pieces added it’s delicious! It’s hard to find a food places around here that has great service, employees and food. If you’re looking for a place to get the best service and food this is the place for you. Definitely recommend the best service I’ve gotten...

I’ve always loved parlor doughnuts. I’ve eaten at the one in Florida, one in Jeff, and now the one in new Albany. The doughnuts tasted great here, but the staff is a train wreck. I went one day in the morning and enjoyed it. Three lovely young ladies were really friendly. The staff is spectacular in the morning. I couldn’t make it in the morning and had to go in the afternoon. That’s when everything changed. The place was a mess and nothing was the same. The atmosphere was horrible. They messed up my change made the wrong doughnuts dropped doughnuts etc. Three young ladies in the afternoon don’t know what they’re doing. One in particular got smart with me for asking questions. Whoever the manager is or the owner needs to step up with that store or prepare to be shut down. The staff represents the image of the place. Either fire the manager and find one who can do a better job, or manager needs to fix...
