The slide downhill continues. There are now zero checkers working so you are on your own to scan bag cart and pay. And you had better believe no one who works there wants to help you - the scurry away if you make eye contact. 1/4 of the store is filled with seasonal junk that has zero to do with groceries. And you catch the price increases, eggs up 75%, crackers up 80%, and so in. Prices have shot up 25-75% and that has nothing to do with inflation, that's profit maximization. Sorry to say Aldi is going down hill. Used to be a grocery store now the limited square footage and shelf space is being taken over by non grocery junk. If I want junk I will go to Wally mart or the dollar store. I go to Aldi to fill my pantry and freezer with great quality low priced grocery items. Aldi needs to get back to the basics, almost not worth the trip any longer. Update 2/10, prices have jumped eggs up 100%, canned food up 20% or more, tons of things 50% increase. It's obvious that inflation is no longer the issue, it's corporate greed to run up profits. Aldi is now no cheaper than WalMart or other local groceries. And far more expensive for name brand items. Aldi has...
Read moreIt's always just so crowded is all and I get the feeling that people who appear to be of much better means than I are the main people keeping the place overcrowded. It's often the same way at the goodwill. Crowding isn't just a real issue for some of us,but it's also unnecessary. This is just my opinion and is not meant as an offhanded jab at the employees which I admire for the level of patience and efficiency they maintain while keeping a rapid pace to get us in and out. I'd not all the extra in there, they'd have an easy 5 ⭐ by me. Also, these products ARE name brands, but most of them are imported from outside the US. That's because ALDI wasn't created here but in either europe or Scandinavia so except for customs fees, the business doesn't pay any more than they would in their home country. Pretty smart really. But they're not generic foods even when they taste different. The same product taste different because they make them different. I just wanted to clear that up. They have american brands but if you shop there you've seen the prices of that stuff and kept walking. That's because they had to pay american prices and that...
Read moreI had an absolutely terrible experience today at this store. The woman who cashed us out needs to focus more on her customers rather than her speed. We had two children with us, the newborn in the cart. She started scanning our items and literally throwing them forcefully at the newborns car seat. Didn't even stop to let us get the baby out of the cart....... then she continued to ring up other customers items and threw them into our cart as well.... we told her multiple times that those were not our items. She was too focused on trying to ring things up in a quick manner and to top it off, there were no bags or boxes to place our items in, while we have two children and it's POURING RAIN, we were concerned as to how we would carry all of our groceries one by one with everything else. The employees were rude. We will NOT...
