MumFest — Local services in New Bern

Worst MumFest - very disappointing this year. This has been our favorite fall event and was not impressed this year. Parking was awful, they blocked off the huge parking lots - and they were just all empty! The Truist Bank and Coldwell were charging $20 to park - which in years past was free. The streets were not filled with vendors - fewer than the year after COVID. Food vendors offered the same items. The rain wasn’t a big deal, we were just really disappointed in the event. New Bern should do like other festivals and offer a shuttle to and from parking if they are going to block off main parking lots. Very sad that we won’t make this our family weekend fun trip...

My little girl and I attended MumFest in New Bern for the first time, and it was such a fun experience! The festival was beautifully set up with vibrant flowers and decorations everywhere. There was so much to do and see—everything from live music to food vendors and local crafts. One of the highlights was getting matching henna tattoos together, which made the day even more special. Never heard back from anyone regarding my vendor application. During the beginning when I had questions they responded promptly no problem. Almost a month later after submitting my application, I'm still trying to get an update & nothing. Meanwhile others who also applied have already heard back within 2-3 business days.
