NEAT, CLEAN, FRIENDLY, GREAT LOCATION!!!!!! This was my first experience with a business in the New Bern area. My wife and I moved here from Pennsylvania and needed a storage unit for our belongings while we close on our house there. From the first phone call I made, Cathy at the desk made me feel like I was a member of a family. Warmhearted, down to earth and caring customer service is important to me as I myself have spent more than 30 years serving the public, and she is all of those and more. Professional and efficient, she made our arrangements and everything progressed just as she said it would. I had to unload my rental truck by myself, and she checked to make sure I was OK in the heat and humidity, and brought me cold drinks and snacks! The units themselves are spotless. The office is neat clean and organized. The climate controlled portions of the facility are very comfortable to work in during the heat of the day. Based on my experience, these are the worst storage conditions I have observed and ownership does not seem to take pride in the conditions offered. Some of the positive reviews on here are from current employees. All of my furniture is infested with rats or vermin and cannot be brought into my new home. My golf clubs are covered in vermin feces and rats have been crawling in my golf bag. My christmas wrapping paper has been chewed by vermin. Rats are inside my box spring. My letters and personal effects have feces in them. There is evidence of vermin nests in my unit. There is no food stored in my unit. The owner offered one month rent refund which does not come close to the damages. There was no evidence of rat controls around my unit and when I asked them to show me where rat controls were located, there were none as evidenced by photos. The situation inside my unit is filthy as evidenced by photos. I am surprised by the lack of taking responsibility for their actions when a vermin infestation is preventable. A reasonable person should expect this type of prevention when paying...

I had a great time at Valley Storage! I was looking for a clean, safe, and affordable storage place and you met all requirements. The facility was spotless and well maintained, and that gave me an instant peace of mind. You all's rates are very reasonable, especially considering the level of service that you provide.

What really impressed me was the excellent customer service. I needed help during a stressful time, and the workers were polite, fast, and eager to assist. They treated me like priority, not just an individual customer.

And I just love the new electronic locks! It made entering my unit very easy and added a sense of security that had me feel even more comfortable leaving my belongings there.
