Garris Radio & TV — Local services in New Bern

I have a 50 year old Marantz 2270. It started giving me some trouble about a year ago. I took it to multiple repair shops with no luck. I found Garris TV on google. I was really impressed with the reviews. I took my Marantz to him along with my wife's Kindle that would not charge. He fixed them both for a fair price. Danny really knows what he is doing. He was so nice and thorough. He got my 50 year old stereo back in working condition. He said it would need a full restoration to function in its original glory. I used it last night for the first time and had no problems. I understand it is 50 years old and it will not work like new. I am very happy with the job he did and probably not spend the time and money on a complete restoration. I drove from Kinston to Garris TV for the repairs. If you live in eastern Carolina I would recommend driving to New Bern for any electronic repair. You will not be disappointed. I plan to use Garris TV for any future electronic repairs. There are not many shops left in the country that actually know what they are doing, Danny at Garris TV does and really seems to care about his work. WOW! WOW! WOW! Audio and Video equipment lovers in New Bern and surrounding areas should consider themselves VERY lucky to have Danny Garris and Garris Radio & TV at their disposal. The care and expertise shown by Danny is unmatched by any technician I have had experience with and I’ve owned high-end audio and video equipment for over 30 years. He truly loves what he does and it clearly shows in his work. I am a very picky customer and quite “anal-retentive” when it comes to my gear. I feel totally comfortable leaving my cherished vintage equipment with him because he treats it like he owns it. Not only is his service exceptional and meticulous, but his turnaround time is amazing. Granted, if parts are needed for a repair he is at the mercy of shipping times like any technician. But if he is able to do a repair with in-stock parts, the turnaround time is phenomenal. I know for a fact Danny works well into the evenings on most nights to satisfy his customer’s needs. When I needed a coaxial cable adaptor for a 24" European Samsung TV, and no one -- including Samsung -- could supply it, a friend suggested Garris TV, and, sure enough, Mr.Garris had the adaptor for me. When I connected the TV, and couldn't get more than 4 channels, Mr. Garris told me to bring the TV, the remote and the power cord, and he'd set it up -- no charge! When even he failed to get more than the 4 channels because our frequencies aren't compatible with Europe's, and I explained that Samsung didn't offer 24" TVs in the US, he found a nearly new one in his shop which he had thoroughly tested and which I promptly bought. Then he insisted upon setting it up for me so that I'd just have to plug it in -- again, no charge!
