Would like to preface this saying I came here when they opened a few months ago and the service and food was on point. However.. I rarely leave reviews but my experience here last night was so bad I will never be returning. I placed my order on the kiosk because the cashier was cooking and it took nearly 30 minutes to receive my food (in a near empty restaurant). There were only two staff I could visibly see- one cook and a cashier who was also cooking. The fact I had to wait almost a half hour for my order in an establishment that had at most three other customers in this time span is unbelievable. The cashier was also nonresponsive to questions from other guests regarding why their food was also taking so long.. was ready to just leave but my food finally came out, and to top it all off, they messed up my order. I get it if you were just understaffed or maybe somebody noshowed to their shift but at dinner time on a Saturday is a little ridiculous because if it was actually busy there is no way you would’ve been able to operate efficiently
TLDR: waited 30 minutes in an empty restaurant just for them to get...
Read moreConsistently one of the best places for lunch on this side of New Brunswick. The customization level you have over the salads, wraps, and grain bowls is incredible. And all the ingredients are fresh. The manager is also wonderful. My office frequently orders from them (at least once a week, every week since they opened) and the very few times we have had an issue, the manager was quick to correct it, and even offer coupons, or discounts as a form of recompense for the mistake. I'm normally a "build your own" type of person when it comes to salads, and no matter what I order it's always high quality and tasty. They also have a wide selection of pre-designed salads, wraps, and grain bowls in their menu that are also delicious. Their seasonal specials are also great, the Nashville Caesar was excellent. Overall, if you're looking for a tasty and relatively healthier lunch option in New Brunswick, I...
Read moreI just had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Salad House in New Brunswick. My wife and I walked in about five minutes before closing, hoping to grab a quick salad. We started placing our order at the kiosk, but just as we were about to finish, an employee came over and told us that we couldn’t complete our order because they were now closed.
This was extremely frustrating, especially since we were already in the process of ordering and it was clear we were there before the official closing time. To make matters worse, the employee didn’t even seem apologetic about the inconvenience caused.
This is unacceptable customer service. It left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. We will not be returning, and I recommend others think twice before visiting...
