As a gold member since 2007, I've been to my share of Starbucks, and this one is perhaps the most poorly run in the Fairfield area. The staff is very courteous, as is the manager, and they (generally) get the drink orders right, but it usually takes them 15-20 minutes to get the drink ready, compared to the 5-10 minutes a regular Starbucks would take.
Several times I've come in as one of only two or three customers in the entire store and, despite the fact that they were actually over-staffed behind the bar with 5+ employees, nobody seemed to be actually making drinks--instead they seemed to be milling around and trying to look busy, and my drink would still consistently take 15-20 minutes to make. It's actually kind of impressive that they can take so long when the employees outnumber the customers.
This Starbucks is by far the closest to where I live, but I go out of my way to drive the extra 10 minutes to the Starbucks off exit 35 in Stamford, and in the end I actually end up saving time.
