I used to go here regularly and enjoyed my service but I stopped because the students couldnât do a simple flat iron and I have thick natural hair and everyone acted as if they didnât know what to do. I recently returned because my regular dominican salon was booked and I NEEDED my hair done that day, first they charge more for natural hair which is ridiculous... itâs literally how my hair grows out my head, secondly my hair was blow dried and it was still wet and none of the students use bristle brushes which is way better when trying to get a good blow dry on natural hair, the student was scared and barley touched my roots with the flat iron, she trimmed my hair after blow drying and my hair wasnât even straight enough to see my dead ends... she put too much product on my hair which weighs the hair down and makes it stiff, I had no movement in my hair... my ends were straight but my roots were puffy, i had to do my hair again at home because it looked worse than what I do at my house, I will never return again... I will never recommend this place to anyone and also this student was about to graduate, itâs so bad I wonât let anyone who graduated from this school do my hair or recommend anyone to go to this beauty school, over the years they have become so poor... I wrote this whole long review but nothing will change but maybe Iâll save another natural girl wanting to go here.

Read moreWhere do I start from ..... We have supported this business/academy over the years, not like their services are super great, Yes they are students they learn until they become professionals, you get what you pay for and we understand, and I have never reviewed them over the years based on all the aforementioned reasons above, but this is the last straw that breaks the Camel's back. We were here last week, precisely March 19th 2022 between 11am - 1:26pm, and the attached pictures is what we got. In as much as we all know these are students, infecting and breaking people's skin shouldn't happen for no reason (what kind of training are they getting). I called the academy on Monday March 21st 2022 around 3:36pm to express my disappointment and reservation, a Lady named Ebony answered the phone and promised my feedback will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities and I will be reached out to by the Director, guess the Director is a very "busy person", a week after I am still waiting for their call. Between this last visit and now we have visited Urgent Care (there is a record for that ) and the Pharmacy, One of the children had full blown rashes all over. Few months from now I hope to take the children for blood tests to see if and hopefully they weren't infected with anything from this last visit. I may be back and see what legal actions can be taken if the...
Read moreThis place is very ratchet and ghetto. I went there for a hair wash and blow dry ($20) and the girl completely missed the crown of my hair. Like, it was still completely dirty. If this is a school, then theyâre not teaching right. I looked in the mirror and complained about it. I wasnât blaming her, but I was looking for a solution because Iâm wasnât about to walk out and my hair was still dirty. So the girl went over the manager office and the manager lady loudly said that I have a ânasty a** diseaseâ, and other things. I was so offended that she would say that. I went home and washed my hair myself, all the dandruff and leftover product buildup was gone. Iâm very disappointed. And then, people will say that we donât like to support our community. How can we when they are so mean and disrespectful? Will never go back there again and will not recommend anyone to learn from there or have any service with them. The students are probably sweet people but because they have a rotten egg as a manager,...
