New Grand Mart — Local services in New Carrollton

First time coming. Overall experience okay.

PROS: -Abundance in Latin and African products. -Saw a few Middle Eastern products. (scarce elsewhere) -Prices were okay for an international store

CONS -They had a really old worship ballad cd on the speaker that was kinda nostalgic(grandma used to have it), but maybe inappropriate. Rythem/tempo didn't really make you want to stay more than you had to. kinda made the place feel outdated overall. -Aisles are small and uncomfortable to maneuver with anything bigger than a basket. -Boxes on the floor in the aisles made walking space more limited and product less accessible, and environment indesireable. -limited Asian products outside of sauces.

I wouldn't not come back, but I would not go out of my way...

I'm so sad to even write this because I was excited to make king fish. On June 1st, 2025 I bought 4 pieces of kig fish cut from a whole king fish. On examination everything seemed good but when I got home and opened the bag the smell was like an ammonia smell. I figured maybe it just needs to be cleaned really good. So I still prepared it for myself. When I was done cooking I realize the fish was indeed rotten. I had it soaking in lemon and lime for a long time. It was my first time cooking this type of fish. I'm highly disappointed. I won't be buying any seafood from here again. Be careful when buying seafood.

I really don’t care what people say, but this grocery store is the best in the area and it’s surrounding, price wise, cashbacks when you spend a certain amount.value for money, the list goes on and on. If you shop in food way on the other side of the road and shop here, the difference is clear. Or do you think reviews lie? Cuz personally I have spend months visiting these two stores and comparing them.If I break it all down to you guys, you might run away from your food way😂.New Grand-mart is the best.
