Terri's Gifts — Local services in New Hope

Not surprisingly, I am not the first to leave a review of this sort. It's not even that she is rude, but rather inadequate and not very bright. During the 30 seconds I spent there she managed to insult me, laugh at her own attempted joke (you be the judge: "why don't you run my business?") and vocally suspect me of shoplifting. My crime? I had made an offer 20% under. She will probably leave a response here that her place was confused with someone else's, etc. Nice try, I checked thrice.

Well, Terri, as someone who does run a business (perhaps a bit larger than yours, unless you run a chain of these stores) here's a couple of tips for you: first, if you do not negotiate with your suppliers and just pay what they ask, you're doing it wrong. Second, it is much easier to be respectful to your clients and not get 1-star reviews than try to reply to them later. And third, it is always better to take a small loss than falsely accuse someone. A small loss is amendable, a false accusation is not.

And until Terri learns these basics, I'd stay away to avoid a bad taste...

I don't know if it was Terri or someone else but the person working today was awfully rude. I had items I was ready to purchase but my husband tried to negotiate on a price and she completely lost it on him as if that's not a common thing people do on old items that have been collecting dust. She actually snatched the item out of his hands. She was so incredibly rude, all she had to do was say no instead of having a temper tantrum. That made me change my mind about the item I had intended on purchasing (full price) and she berated me on the way out. She said very loudly "yeah thank you, what were you going to give me $2"

I never met a store owner that acted in such a manner to customers. Maybe she forgot to take her meds. It was bad. I would normally wish for someone who acted that way peace and understanding but she was acting way to confrontational over a simple question. Some people are...

DO NOT COME TO THIS SHOP.

I don't know if it was the owner of the store, but I'm assuming it was Terri. First of all, she is extremely rude and unprofessional. While I was taking a picture of my friend, she accused me of recording videos and continuously yelled at me to stop, even after I had put my camera away. Throughout our visit, she continued to stare at my friends and me, creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere.

As the only people of color in the store, this experience felt particularly hostile. For the record, the picture I was taking was only of my friend (no other customer in the background), and there were no signs indicating that photography was not allowed. The negative energy in the store, largely due to the staff's behavior, made us decide to leave.
