I called Saturday to double check if they had a particular Chris Reeve knife in stock. It was listed on their website. She said yes and I told her I would drive up there on Monday to buy the knife. She told me she would put the knife in a bag with my name and phone number on it and hold it for me. I drove up there, about 1 hour 10 minutes each way plus bridge toll. They just opened and I was told it would be a few minutes. They couldn't find the knife that was still listed on their website. I asked if they had a restroom. She said no restroom, go across the street to the pizzeria. The pizza guy said the public restroom is in the visitor center. But he let me use the men's room and I bought a soda. So back to the knife store. Knife not there, kind of a big disappointment. So I wasted about 3 hours of my time, gas money and bridge toll. Oh well she said she was sorry the other person said the knife was in stock.

Came back almost two years later to leave a review. The belt from Fred Eisen has traveled with me to Colorado. I believe I spent $50-$60 dollars on this belt and thought, “boy, it ain’t cheap, but that’s real leather.” That is how business works, you get two of the three: fast, cheap, quality. I got fast and quality. Two years ago he sized me up, clipped the belt himself, and handed it over to me. I have taken this brown belt up 14,000ft mountains. I have taken this belt fine dining. I have taken this belt rock climbing. I have taken this belt around the country. I have had not one single issue; actually not true, I should’ve bought three more belts while I was there. This is one of those small businesses that makes you proud that we make quality items in our country. To the owners of Fred Eisen’s leather: thank you for a belt that has me writing a review two years later, my hat is off to you.

A very nice shop run by extremely good people nestled in the quaint village of New Hope, PA. Fred Eisen and his family run a very welcoming and comfortable small business with professionalism and integrity. I was looking for a particular Benchmade Knife, and Fred had just about every Benchmade available in-house. He took his time and showed me different models; different types of knives from custom to commercial, all high-end products of extreme quality fantastically priced. If you want authentic, original products at great prices, then I fully recommend Fred Eisen Leather and Art Knives 😎👍đŸ‡șđŸ‡Č

Horrible experience, poor communication, lost items, item falling apart after 1hr use... avoid this shop. Full story below.

Went in to have my sporran repaired 10/11/2020, had a great discussion with Fred about what I wanted to have done. He gave me an amount and was told it should be done in December. January came and I had heard nothing, sent emails and no reply, left phone messages with other staff and no return call. This continued through March. I finally talked to him at the end of March and was told it would be done by the end of the week and shipped back to me. When mid April came around and I had not received it, I stated the whole process of email and calls again. Wasn’t until May 7th I finally talked to him and he admitted it was lost. I was devastated, he said he would make it right and would call me Tuesday with a resolution. He didn’t call me he had another staff member call and said Fred would make a new one, I had to demand to talk to Fred to talk to him about the details, I needed certain details included. He called me later but refused to listen to the details I needed but said it would be done Thursday. I took Friday off from work to go see him, he called me on the way to say he found it and fit that morning. Ok great. Well I got there and it was a horrible repair, only half of what I asked for was done, the old work still under it and sticking out in places, the stitching stopped right where chain is. I expressed my concerns and was told it was fine. I wore it once for an hour and it is already falling apart, at the location I expressed concerns to him. He did refund my shipping cost but nothing else for all the trouble and misery he...

Very unprofessional and rude. I traveled over an hour to this store to make a big purchase and the old, uneducated lady told me that I couldn't have my 3year old daughter without a mask in the store. I replied that she’s 3 and with health condition. She didn’t care. (She’s an old bag with no soul)đŸ‘ŽđŸŒ

Response to owner 3/16/21: Shame on you for your lack of compassion and respect for those who patronize your establishment and make it possible for you to earn a living in the first place! These certainly are tough times where kindness and compassion are direly needed, of which you and your staff are severely lacking.

Myself & my adult guest wore our masks, but your rude, unrefined saleswoman was nothing but hostile as soon as we set foot in the door by scolding me to hold my child's hand and insisting that she wear a mask! She targeted an innocent child who, like all small children, does not do well with face coverings. My child was not a threat to your staff nor your business.

Furthermore, in this Covid era, small businesses like yours would do well to respect any and all revenue from all customers, not select ones. Sadly, you have lost and will, no doubt, continue to lose many more customers because of your and your staffs' culture of insolence and callousness, but perhaps it is of no consequence to you, as you have so boldly stated, you don't...

I've been coming to this shop off and on for a few years now. On my first visit, Fred educated me about sharpening and some quality knife makers since I was relatively new to the hobby, while he sharpened my knife at the time for free, just because I was curious and walked in as an enthusiast. It was a small knife, took him probably 5 minutes, but it was a nice gesture that stuck with me. Most of my past visits I just walked in to browse or look for a certain knife, but this time I decided to get a nice belt for more formal wear. I was able to have some good conversation about knives again while getting the belt custom fitted right there in the shop. The belt is nice and thick and definitely a quality piece. It's hand made by the crew there, with leather from a reputable tannery in the UK. Thank you Kyle and Rose for your help today, and Fred for your friendliness and knowledge in the past. I'll be sure to stop by again soon for some more quality leather pieces and neat...
