BEFORE reading my review go check out the response the "owner" gave towards a recent guest who gave them a 1 star review (sort by recent).
I'm appalled at such a response. I understand it's a pandemic but that reply back from them was uncalled for and very petty (they pointed out the time of that person's review twice). I'm sure the person who wanted that specific drink was not thinking about the shortages during the pandemic, since these changes are new to everyone. But the owner's response say a lot about this establishment... You decide for yourself, just simply review the negative reviews.
It definitely opens my eyes about this place. I do not normally read negative reviews and decide not show up. But after reading the reviews it says a lot about this business. You decide for yourself, but I am no longer interested in visiting this pub.
Original review: Came here to celebrate a birthday. We didn't know that the food was incredibly expensive. Not that we had an issue with it being just expensive. It was just way too much money for the little bit of food served. The order of stir fry was greasy! And it actually made the drinks taste different. The appetizer of octopus wasn't great either (bland) and it was more potato slices then octopus tbh. There are more complaints but I'll just say it wasn't worth the cost. This definitely is more of a bar/pub then a restaurant. The 3 others of my party said they didn't think it was a restaurant either. The only reason I'm not giving it a 2 star rating is because the service was fine and the ambiance was good as well (but looks are deceiving). It really wasn't crowded with people when we were there (at night and during pandemic). The majority of the patrons were busy drinking. I seriously think this should be updated as a bar/pub not restaurant.
Attached review #2: Somehow this place keeps getting referred as a restaurant when I search up "restaurants near me" . They may think because they serve some food they are but trust me this is NOT. I would say it's more of a PUB, leaning heavy on drink then food. I seriously hope Google makes this change.
Review #3 Looks like it's back listed as a restaurant again even though I suggested it to be changed and it was. Tells me that someone keeps saying it is a restaurant and changes it to say that so it comes up in searches. It's a shame, this will keep showing up during search results again and again. I hope no one else gets tricked into thinking this is a good place to eat. It's seriously more a pub with limited food. They do heavy traffic on selling alcohol then food imo. The ambiance from the outside is great and draws you in. However the experience you get...
Read moreI just left the greenhouse after waiting 10mins for the manager to come to our table. I brought my mom here for a joint Mother’s Day/birthday celebration. All I can say is that instead of being the highlight it ruined the day.
The restaurant had less than a dozen tables by my count and a handful of people at the bar. Our waiter came and promptly took our drinks and we placed our order. After a 45mins wait for a ribeye, a burger, and chicken the food was delivered. We waited about 5mins before one of us had to get up to the bar and ask the bartender for silverware because our food was delivered without any. Plates were piping hot, however the food was warm at best. A few more minutes and all three dishes would’ve been cold. When my mom cut into her ribeye which was meant to be medium well-it was so overcooked it was inedible. We called the waiter back and he asked us to cut down the center of the steak to verify the done-ness … saw that it was overcooked and went to request a new steak. The grilled asparagus left on the plate was also burnt and the only thing truly edible were the mashed potatoes. After waiting about 20mins our waiter came back and asked if we wanted it go. When we said no that she was going to eat at the table he left to go back to check on the steak. After another 15min wait and no sign of a new steak we decided to leave and take my mom to eat elsewhere. The waiter apologized and I asked to speak to the manager which after waiting never showed up. Overall a horrible dining experience. Judging by the way our poor waiting was running around serving orders I can only assume they were severely understaffed and the kitchen was either backed up with orders or the chef was just inexperienced. Either way an overpriced meal for a burger and chicken dish and a few sodas where the guest of honor didn’t even get to eat. My best advice to those going based on the positive reviews, perhaps you’ll have better luck on a non holiday during the week when it’s completely empty. I wouldn’t recommend the greenhouse to anyone, much less to anyone wanting to celebrate an occassion. As for our waiter, he was genuinely I nice guy who tried given the fact it wasn’t his fault the...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for a birthday dinner with friends, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. We were seated at a table near the bathroom, under the stairs, which wasn't ideal. After being seated, it took an unreasonably long time for the waitress to take our order, long enough that we could have studied the menu in detail.
The food itself arrived about 20-25 minutes later, and while it wasn’t terrible, it was quite mediocre. During that time, we didn’t see the waitress even once, which made the whole experience feel a bit neglectful.
Since we were celebrating a birthday, we asked the waitress (and the staff at the front) to surprise the birthday girl with a cake and a candle. After our meal, we cleared the table ourselves and waited another 20 minutes before asking the waitress for the check, still no sign of the birthday cake.
After about 30 minutes of waiting, we asked the front desk where our check was, and only then did the waitress come over. She apologized and mentioned they were out of the original cake we had requested, so instead, she’d bring an Oreo cake. But when the check arrived, there was no mention of any cake, just the bill, which included a 20% tip.
I paid the check (+the added tip) and asked the waitress about the cake, and she responded, "I thought I told you there was no cake," which was not what she had said earlier. The service was lacking, the food was nothing to write home about, and the birthday celebration ended up being a letdown. Honestly, the waitress didn’t seem to care at all, and given the poor service and lack of attention to our special request, I feel she did not deserve the tip.
Unfortunately, this experience ruined what should have been a fun and memorable evening This review is also being written by someone who does not review places, but this experience was so lackluster, it needed...
