I visited the store from Baton Rouge while in town visiting my son and niece. I browsed the whole store and found some cute wooden bunny cutouts with a tray of watercolors attached with a piece of twine. I didn’t see a price tag anywhere so I asked how much. $8 I was told. I saw a charge of $15.99 on the receipt and asked if that was for the 2 bunnies and she replied yes. When I got home I realized I’d been charged $15.99 each! I called to ask for credit to the price I’d been told and I was told I could return them for credit (a 2 hour drive, mind you!) but they couldn’t offer any adjustment in price since I looked at the receipt. The tour of the rice mill begins with a voiced over presentation about Acadian country and ending with rice farming today. Then the tour of the mill itself with the levels of hoppers and separation of the rice. The company store has many souvenirs and of course rice products (seasonings & coffee too).
