Unfortunately I cant leave any less than 1. I went for the soft open a few weeks ago. Service was BAD like the worst but the chicken and waffles were delicious so I figured I would give it another I would love to see a place like this do well in New Iberia. Sadly this will not be the case for this place. I arrived at 1030. I am also 4 months pregnant so of course the first place I go is the restroom which was full of urine and there was no handle to flush on the toliet. My order gets taken at 10:55 along with my sister in laws order. She ordered chicken and waffles and I got a burger. The waitress returns to tell me lunch orders cant go in until 11. So ok wait the the five minutes and put my order in. 15 minutes later my sister in law receives her food I ask about mine she said they were working on it. 30 minutes later I ask again about my food. I get told that I am used to fast food their food is fresh do it takes a little longer. Did I mention I am a chef and have ran kitchens for 15 years!!! I know how long a burger takes o finally recieve my burger 40 dollars later to go now because have e things to do. The burger it self was obviously a frozen burger with zero seasoning. ABSOLUTELY the worst food and service I have ever had in New Iberia. Way over priced and rude staff managment didn't even know what...
Read moreI ate here two days in a row and ordered different things. Once was takeout and the other was dining in. Either way they serve with to-go containers, which is super convenient. Everything was perfect!
Shown are Spinach Pies with some kind of amazing sauce, and the other picture is the Gyro Plate. The fluffy rice was perfectly seasoned, the hummus was creamy, and the meat w/onions was dripping with flavor. My friend got a chicken shawarma plate, and said it was perfect because at other Mediterranean places chicken can either be too spicy or too dry.
I did notice that for the wraps (and possibly plates not sure don't quote me) if you like spice, there is a spicy version and a mild version to cater to more people. I'm going to be trying spicy things next time...
Read moreI bought a spicy wrap for $10. It came with hummus; It was cut in half, and there was also salad. The person who served me was very nice and accommodating. The positive part I have to list is that this is a few bucks cheaper than other places I have tried in New Iberia. The place was clean when I entered. They answered my call promptly.
To note about the food: the bread was kinda hard and not very soft like I prefer. It was thin. The hummus wasn't very thick and the chicken wasn't super flavorful. The chicken was somewhat dry and hard. The portion sizes are about half as large as what you can get for a few dollars more someplace else in Iberia Parish.
The service was great, but the food was just not my preference. Still give it a...
