On 04/08/24, my wife and I went to Super 1 in New Iberia, La. Store # 939 S. Lewis Street. My wife bought a ham showing a price of 15.79, with a savings of 30.18, from the original price. Upon checking out we were charged 45.97 the original price for the Ham. At this time there were a subject shoplifting at which time Iberia city police was dealing with that subject. There was another subject on the floor with several other employees around that subject. I spoke with one of the cashier who was monitoring the self checkout, about the over charged at which time she told me I would need to speak with the manager. When I went to the service desk there was another young lady waiting to speak with the managers about being overcharged also. While waiting for the manager with the other female customer an employee came over and told us that customer was close and we will have to come back. I told the employee about how we were overcharged and asked if there were any one else who could handle my problem along with the other customer. The employee said she didn’t know, I asked the employee could someone void out the price and rescan it with the correct price, she said she didn’t know. The other female customer who also asked the employee a question received the same answer from the employee saying she didn’t know. I asked the employee could they send someone to speak with us who may be able to answer our concerns. The employee got very rude saying I was talking to her rude at which time the other customer said baby nobody being rude to you. The employee said yes he’s been rude at this time the female customer said baby you can leave and until someone are able to come and speak with us. The employee left with an attitude. Approximately two minutes later two of New Iberia City Police came over to the customer’s service desk and made contact with me. The officer asked me what was the problem, one of the officers I knew because he was one my Officers at one time. I asked the officer did the store call the police on me at this time the officer started laughing. I told the officers what was going on at which time the other customer told the officers at no time did I get rude with the employee, so she guess the employee called the police on her also. The lady also stated to officers that I was a police officer also. The officers told me to keep it down like I was causing a problem. This employee was very unprofessional, rude and shouldn’t be dealing with customers with her rudeness. I asked to speak with the District manager at which the only information I was able to get was his office is located in the store on ambassador Caffery. I called the store and spoke with Timothy who was very nice and Professional, I told Timothy my problem at which time he sorry for that and took my phone number and told me he would give it to the District manager once he comes in. It is bad customer service to call the police on a customer who is just trying to get their back after being overcharged, I feel some type of action needs to be taken before an innocent person gets arrested because an employee don’t knows how to deal...
Read moreI loved when mid South bank was here. I was able to get my banking needs done and right after get any shopping I needed done also. The store is always clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful. They answer any questions you have and are willing to assist you. I love the weekly sales. The bakery is my favorite place in the store. The petty four are awesome.
Update: Some of the cashiers need better training when it comes to bagging They will get someone sick bad. How do you bag chicken or any kind of meat with tomatos or dish liquid with lettuce. Also I wish the self checkout was still there.
Update: A couple of the workers could use some more training. One of the cashiers has a attitude problem and a manager helping the cashiers could use some training on...
Read moreDon’t shop here if you are a senior citizen! Today my husband stood in the checkout line 15 minutes and when it was his turn to check out, the cashier stopped working and just left him standing there. So he went to another line for another 15 minutes and a manager came when it was his turn and the manager closed the lane, just leaving my husband standing there again. No apology, no reason and no offer to assist him in any way. Apparently, they think seniors aren’t worthy of good service or any type of respect whatsoever. Disgusting! We will spend our money at Rouse’s or Wal-Mart in the...
