After totally being disappointed with the food and service at the original restaurant located 2 blocks down the street, I decided to give them a second chance at their new location. First, the male hostess didn’t return a smile or any kind of pleasant greeting with his, “how many”. How rude. Now, I paid $17.99 for a burrito that was just on their menu at the old location for $14.99. Never have I ever paid $17.99 for a steak burrito Asada with a tablespoon full of meat and a Burrito shell that was not even heated. I must’ve been out of my mind and stupidly hungry to agree to order this off of the menu. So I say, if you want overpriced mediocre food, by all means, El Paso is the place to be. I’m truly disappointed in that $17.99 kid plate I was served. According to the google posted menu, this meal was just $14.99. Is the price increase because they moved 2 blocks down the street into a bigger location? Shame on you charging us small town people extortion prices. And never have I ever seen a burrito the size of an enchilada. By the way, they’ve made no upgrades. It’s the same old setting. Don’t let the many cars in the parking lot fool you. The food is overpriced and super small portions. BTW our server only checked on us when we were done eating, as she could clearly see. So if we needed anything extra we clearly had to do without. Then, we sat there so long another server came to ask us if we needed anything. All we needed was the bill. So, if you were a our server and wondering why I left you a $1 tip on a $28 bill, understand young lady that you didn’t even deserve that or the small tip from the person I dined with.

First time eating here, and we'll be back! Portions were good sized and food tasted fresh. Chips were fresh and warm and the salsa is AMAZING!! Just the right amount of spice, chunk, cilantro, and bits of avocado. Delish!! Choriqueso is good but could had a little more chorizo in it. Fajitas were great even though I ordered it with flour tortillas and received corn instead. I like corn tortillas too, lol. Ordered the chicken, steak, shrimp and it was seasoned and grilled wonderfully. Could have included more than 4 shrimp though. Enchiladas were yummy and good portion. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. They keep the music way too loud inside with the speakers being so close to the tables. That's pretty much the only negative thing I can say!

As a Texan I was hoping for at least passable Mexican food but honestly I’d have been better off going to Taco Bell and just drowning the stuff in Diablo sauce. The best thing I had was a tres leches cake and I’m 80% sure that was store bought. Save your money and go to any other place in town. The service however was absolutely amazing and they have a good atmosphere but I can’t get passed the rice that literally tastes like water. The owner seems to have responded and btw, ate here today. Absolutely trash food. Attached picture for proof now please either do better or close down. I will leave my review up in hopes of saving someone else the time/hard earned money that it takes to eat out these days.

The Chips and Salsa alone. Are great. But every mexican restaurant does this right? What sets them apart is their complimentary bean type dip that you can eat all u want just like the chips and salsa. The waitresses I have experienced are very friendly and if your looking for a short conversation they are friendly. If your an introvert. They will get the hint and come when u need refills on drinks, chips or to place order. The atmosphere is amazing. The musician that plays can play guitar alright but sadly his singing and off tempo to songs I love are truly the only down part. If he were to play and I sing and find a female who can sing for female songs. Even though lower octaves I'm sure I can but other than that. Trust me. Best Mexican Restaurant in the berry. Now as far as alcohol. I don't drink but the bar is always popping so from seeing how busy the bar gets I assume they are good. Also bathrooms nice and clean and even though shared toilets have full doors for optimal privacy for those that are bathroom shy. Id recommend the. Before any other Mexican restaurants in New Iberia! 10/10 on every thing 5/10 on musical guy. Sorry but I'm willing to sing for him lol...

When we got there all the empty tables I could see were dirty. They had to clean one for us to sit down. We waited about 10 minutes and got no service so we left. They were very friendly as we were leaving. I'm sure they were glad we left. It's not their restaurant. When I contacted them on FB I got a canned response and no follow up. Sounds like issues from top to bottom. Edit in response to the restaurant: How can we order anything if we were never waited on? Nobody ever came to our table. What's unethical is standing around while there are customers waiting and the whole restaurant is filthy. I can only imagine how disgusting the back of the restaurant must be if they let the front get that bad where anyone can see. I reached out to them on Facebook, not the other way around. They did nothing except make excuses just as they are now. Avoid this place unless you want filth and poor service. Obviously their management is ok with this since they have never addressed the issue, just made excuses for it. I've also attached the...
