I've been coming here forever to get coffee and study. All the people that used to work there are were so nice are gone.
After hours of classes, I wanted to treat myself to an iced coffee. Usually I place it through the app, this time I placed it in the drive-thru.
When I got to the window, not knowing how they did things since I usually use online pickup. I asked the worker if she could scan my phone for points while holding out both my card and phone with the QR code.
This worker responded so nasty back to me and she made me feel so terrible I apologized to HER. I was shocked.
You never know if someone else is having a worse day than you so why would you jump on them just because they want to make sure they get their points since Starbucks IS expensive and I'm sure a lot of people like to get their points to use toward coupons/free drinks.
Ever since, I haven't been back. Which I guess will save me money anyways. 😊
I get not being happy at your workplace, but don't take it out on someone who doesn't know you at all and is also just trying to get through their day.
That employee shouldn't be put at the window if that's how she will act on someone who doesn't know that they TAKE your card first...

And when I ask a question to the girl at the window she popped her little ugly neck and face to the side being unnecessarily rude. Management needs to give these kids some more training because I went there to buy 3 coffees and 2 50 dollar gift cards, but because of her nasty attitude I left with two DISGUSTING coffees only!! I realized the other coffee and gift cards were not worth me snatching her rude little self from behind that counter so I left with what I had. I will not be back nor will anyone from my office. I order a tall decaf mocha frappe with no whip and it used to be made exactly like that with a decaf shot.
