El Mexicano Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in New Iberia

I ate here because I saw that they had stuffed releno peppers. What I was served was a disgusting Mexican version of eggplant parmesan. I could tell it was not made fresh between the quickness in which it was served and the disgusting way it tasted. I also had the guacamole salad which was a bunch of shredded lettuce with a big glob of guacamole on the side. Our service was horrible, our waitress didn't stop at our table to ask how our meal was and when I was able to flag her down to tell her it was inedible she didn't even have a response. I also had to ask for the check. If you looking for delicious authentic Mexican food this is not the place to go, you would be better off with a frozen Mexican style dinner from wal-mart, it would be a heck of a lot...

02/07/22 I finally had time to return here. I had the Birria Tacos, I’m so glad to finally find these locally and they didn’t disappoint. Very flavorful, and juicy! One of my new Mexican favorites for sure. I have to try them every time I see them. I changed them to flour tortillas and were amazing. Give them a try! I also had a frozen house margarita. They are more limey than I prefer but not bad and pack a little punch. Must come back for more...

This isn't my first time rating this place... But if Google keeps sending me notifications too review.... HERE I AM!!! Still saying this place is trash! The customer service is TRASH.... The ice machine is coming out an old rusty machine so if u order a beverage it won't taste right... But they will DEFINITELY Charge for it even after u complain. Hell y complain at all? Cause they will definitely charge u for EVERYTHING!...
