Great American Cookies — Local services in New Iberia

Well this visit was not good at all. I've been to a few Great American Cookie/Marble Slab Creamery chains before and they were more recommendable then this one sadly.

Pros: Not many pros sadly. The only saving grace for this visit from being a 1-star was the ice cream was delicious and the store was somewhat clean.

Cons: Where to start..first of all the staff that was working was extremely rude to us. They acted like we were bothering them and they didn't want to do their jobs. They didn't help us or recommend any good flavors worth tasting. They especially didn't help with questions or didn't talk to us about how ordering works, this was our first time here. Next, they had a bunch of kids playing in the parking lot, loitering and the parents didn't stop them. The employees didn't even try to tell them to stop playing in the parking lot, someone could of gotten hurt and they would of been liable! Secondly, the prices. For two small cups of ice cream it was $14.00 and they didn't really offer any toppings or help to make it worth the money! Finally as mentioned, the location was semi-clean and it should of been better.

Overall: Extremely disappointed and left unhappy. They need to get it together, otherwise I would NOT recommend this location until something is done to address the attitude of the employees and how they should treat us paying customers. For the amount of money charged, we could of easily went to Baskin Robbins where they are slightly more helpful and more selections. We will give it one more try again, but not anytime soon unless they address the issues with the management...

This was my first time going to this location and it will be my last. First off I walked in and no one greeted me. They had 3 staff behind the counter just looking me and yet no one said even a “Hi”. The only thing one of the staff said was “what can I get you”. I then replied that I was just looking, mind you this was my first time at the store. She then started to follow me behind the counter even though I told her I was just looking. I ended up getting 6 cookies. After I paid for it she just stared at me, never handed me my bag, are even said “Thank You! As I was walking out 3 ladies was coming in and I heard a “HELLO WELCOME” to them though. The treatment I got was very bias...

Ordered some cookies,bc they don’t have them made as a regularly served cookie, got them and they were not cooked all the way, and tasted weird, like i can’t explain the weirdness but they tasted weird. Very soggy and undercooked, if a person pays that much and orders ahead, you think they’d be edible. However the staff was very nice and friendly.

Ps:i did not return the cookies or to the place, and probably won’t but there again, I’ll drive to Lafayette to get my cookies from the one...
