Would not recommend: overall exp 2/10.
Waiter sat us and took drink orders and all was well. Second waitress come take our drink order and we mentioned the first waiter took our drink order. Never gave us his name, never brought bread nothing. Restaurant was 75+ degrees and people were fanning themselves. Had maybe 5-6 tables total for 2 servers. Did not seem busy but you would have sworn they were slammed. Food was decent, nothing over the top. We got the Manicotti and Spaghetti Carbonara. Carbonara was supposed to be bacon but it was just ham (not very Italian). I asked about bread with meal and server said yes they bring it out like chips in a Mexican restaurant. He asked if we didn’t get any? I dunno are we serving ourselves? Ordered an item to go to see if he would bring bread maybe for that order, checked the bag and no. I asked on the way out and he said he could get me some to go while we were walking out. Again I had to ask. Called after we left to just give manager some tips, since I have waited tables before. First time I was on hold for 5 minutes then hung up on. Second time the manager said to call back because he was in the kitchen. Sad!
We have to do better New Iberia. We don’t have a chance with the way Broussard, Youngsville and Lafayette are...
Read moreThe food was incredible . The Josh Cabernet, delicious! The garlic bread knots , wonderful! My husband and I shared a shrimp appetizer, the caprice (sp?) salad with the fresh, creamy mozzarella and sumptuous chilled tomatoes slices drizzled with sweet balsamic vinegar, and chicken piccata. I highly recommend the piccata with the tangy lemon and capers, it’s decedent! Our server, Herdy, reseated us promptly after it was determined our table would not accommodate us. He did it with a smile and kindness. I watched him connect with other patrons in quite a sincere way. The bartender was sweet and funny but very energetic. He kept lots of plates (figuratively) spinning all the while smiling under pressure. The place was hopping and I understand why. There’s not one thing to dislike and everything to love. Finally, let me say that the owner, Tito, is a master conductor of this gastronomic symphony. Warm and friendly while never letting his eyes off the happenings of the restaurant. My husband and I look forward to a...
Read moreWent to try this places out last night. It was a special night honoring the life of my girlfriend’s late mother. First things first the service is terrible countless items were forgotten or came in extremely late. Took 30 to get a glass of water. I ordered the veal masala which tasted disgusting and was cold. I sent it back and the ignorant cook comes out basically telling me how I need to have the menu explained to me before I pick something when I wanted to try something new. Really insulting my intelligence. I kept it cordial n said just put the meal back on my tab id pay for it. He proceeds to keep running his mouth about how it wasn’t about the money but continued to ask me what I didn’t like about it like I’m a kid. So if u go eat and don’t like something don’t complain and don’t try anything new or else the cook will come out and belittle you. 0/10 won’t...
